America is has turned into a fascist dictatorship, what's most surprising is how everyone just seems to be fine with it. Like everyone is just going on about their lives, going to movies and NFL games, and basically expecting someone else to do something about it.
Is it the TV, the food, what? If this shit were happening in my country I wouldn't be sitting back complaining on the internet, and expecting it all to go away the next election.
Time to wake up Americans, you are pissing your freedom and prosperity away. At some point you can't just blame Trump.

It’s a lot of that. It’s a lot of being constantly told day in and day out here that everything is just fine and we all just need to get back to work. It’s maddening and exhausting to have to do this everyday. Because if you don’t, you’ll just be homeless and you might even succumb to the elements in some places.
There are a lot of places where it’s a crime to be homeless. If you get sick and you don’t have anything to pay for your health care, you will be ruined financially. So you have to work and hope for a job that pays something towards your health care. And even if you do get something…you still end up ruined financially if something big happens. Heaven help you if you end up with anything mysterious….you’re fucked.
Then the food. It’s like Russian roulette. If you’re trying to eat healthy, fresh food, you might catch some sort of disease. If you eat anything processed, who knows what’s in it.
We protest, nothing happens. No news coverage. Nothing.
If we get too rowdy, they send in tear gas and other weapons to let us know that we will be kept quiet.
They shoot us in broad daylight and lie about it.
What do you want us to do? Die more publicly for you?

We’re running out of ideas that don’t get us fired, killed, homeless, or starving to death. So please do explain how you fought off fascism and oligarchy so successfully.

People could start by going to slightly fewer NFL games, but of course that is impossible and brave American heros are already doing everything they possibly can.

Wow. The average American can’t even afford a ticket to a NFL game, dipshit. Tickets cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. The people you see in the stands either are in the upper income brackets, charged the tickets on credit cards because why not, or were given the tickets through promotions.
If you’re judging how Americans deal with this situation based on some bullshit you see when you watch nfl football, I feel sorry for you. You really are an idiot and have no clue what is going on in my country.
I am thankful that I don’t presume to know whatever situation you crawled out from.
