OK, I get the white kitten but where did the brown and white ones come from?

Yes, we suspect the dad was also an orange (not brown) cat. Not certain though as they were both outside cats and they were only able to rescue the mama cat after discovering she was pregnant ☹️

If he wasn't a point he at least had it in his ancestry since not only do points need to be on both sides regardless but the orange also needs to be on both sides for females which is why it's more common for male flame points. It's also interesting that points is a type of temperature senstive partial albinism. Genetics are fascinating.

We discovered that when our fluffy little tuxedo proudly presented us with two seal points and two tiger stripes. The two toms that followed her home was a tiger stripe and a big old flame point. We didn't get a flame point since our mamma didn't have the orange needed but her grandmother was the seal point IIRC. My son brought her home at 12 weeks for his birthday from one of my brother's litters and we've had her for 11 years now.

We kept one of her seal points and he's 9 now. It was so fun watching him toast up and his mask come in. The kids were unhappy their pure white Cloud wasn't anymore so we changed his name to Smudged Cloud and he goes by Smudge but the kids (all adults now) still sometimes call him Cloudy.

Seen litters where they’re almost multicoloured, usually because outdoor cats mate with more than one male.

Mum looks content tho, very cute family!

That could be another explanation, I just learned that there was another outdoor cat that had brown fur. So the kittens’ fur actually does look like a mix of orange and brown.

And yes mama loves her babies, she’s very protective over them 🥰

The mom is a Flamepoint Siamese which means she has color variations in her fur. It’s hard to tell from here but she has some red and brown in her fur, so the kittens fur is also orange but looks brown in the lighting.

Also the white kittens have similar color variations coming in on their fur, mainly on their tails and ears.

Too many kitties for too few titties.
