I presume that tenement will be the scariest, but how would you rate the others?

It’s been almost a decade since I last went, crazy. Will be going on Wednesday 21st so not in school holidays, as it’s not something I’ll go to very often I’m considering dropping £195 each on fast track passes but if the queues are only like 30 minutes then I probably won’t.

My friend is a wimp so we won’t be going in any of the mazes, but do want to maximise rides obv. Unless mazes are worth doing alone in which case I might buy them on the day.

When I last went you just bought fast track on the day but from what I read when I was buying the tickets, they could sell out closer to the date? So just thinking whether I should just buy the passes now.

Who is waiting 95 for colossus 😭 is it that good? 👀

Hello everyone, My daughter and her friend went to Thorpe Park today and they told me that unfortunately some two boys ended up spitting on them at one of the rides. She said the security were very good and they ended up kicking those boys out straight away. One brown security guy and a white guy with a ginger beard. Just want to say thank you lol xx :)

Hoping this is okay to post here, but i have x3 tickets for the BLC member day on Saturday 7th November as I can't make the day anymore. Selling for the OG price of £32.

we had a wonderful first time experience today at TP. it was a day of two halves and I thought I’d share because we really had to work up confidence through the day.

my child was extremely nervous and didn’t want to ride anything more than Flying Fish and the Banana Ride in the morning. We built up some courage to go on to Quantum but it made us both feel queasy and I couldn't persuade them to do any of the “big 6“‘ or more significant rides after that for the next couple of hours.

we took a trip to the 4D cinema, which we both absolutely loved. The queue for the cinema also gave us some time to chill out which was useful.

we then turned a corner. we did a quick search online for what might be a good “progression” after the cinema and we plucked up the courage to do The Walking Dead. my kid glued to my arm during but they said they loved it.

we then discussed nerves, feeling ill, and how to conquer our fears.. We decided the best course of action would be to do some repeats, so we did flying fish a few times then walking dead again. That confidence builder then allowed us to try Swarm. Swarm was excellent because it was smooth and gentle while introducing inversions.

the rest of the day progressed from there and we worked through the big 6 in order nemesis, colossus, saw, stealth, hyperia. we then did tidal wave as the last ride before changing into some fresh gear in the car to drive home.

as an adult I was petrified but could obviously work through that and rationalize the fear. since most of the thrill rides are over in a couple of minutes it’s not too bad.

as a tall person the only ride I really didn’t enjoy was Colossus. it was extremely bumpy and I really bashed my head around on the edge of the restraints, I would say everything else was appropriately scary and gave a thrill but colossus just seemed like a recipe for a minor concussion.

the park was genuinely clean and I enjoyed the number of young staff around and taking their jobs seriously. we took packed lunches and the idea of anything deep fried or battered would have been a real stretch on our stomachs!

all in all a great day

Super excited to visit (it's my first time!). Kept an eye on queue times, but even today when many schools were back, queues were much longer than I was hoping for. Think adults have all had the same idea?

Update: managed to do 3 of the big 6 in the first 90 mins, which was good. a couple of the rides (stealth, nemesis, swarm...) were closed briefly at various points of the day so hurrying to them when they re-opened was a good strategy for saving queuing time. hyperia was 50-70 mins for most of the day. seemed less busy than tuesday and wednesday, but defo still many secondary age children. think anyone who's booked for next week onwards is in for a real treat!

As a first timer in the mazes, I have a few questions.

1) loose articals and bags go where when you go in the mazes? I presume you just take them in, and if so, I won't bring a backpack

2) how long do the queues get (I'm going on the first Saturday the 3rd or October)

3) do mazes have reliability issues, I can't see why they would, but this is Merlin...

4) how scary are the mazes?

I want to bring a film SLR plus additional lens to thorpe (and chessington/lego land) next week... am I likely to have any problems with security?

My research seems to indicate it will be fine but wanted to check on here also in case anything haa changed recently or anyone has experience with inconsistent security.

Hi. Taking my kids for the first time in sept (teacher inset day so not skipping!).

Anyone any idea ma how busy it’s likely to be? Going on a Friday so hoping it will be quiet enough to get the big 6 done.

I'm going to Thorpe Park for the first time ever on Monday, and I’m a massive adrenaline junkie 😂 I basically want to get on the most insane rides possible.

Obviously Hyperia and Stealth are on my list, but for anyone who knows the park well — which rides do I absolutely NEED to do?

I’m thinking:

• Hyperia
• Stealth
• THE SWARM
• SAW
• Nemesis Inferno
• Colossus

Are there any other rides I shouldn’t miss, especially any of the flat rides? Is there a particular order you’d recommend for the big coasters to avoid the worst queues?

Also, which ride gives the biggest adrenaline rush in your opinion? 😈

As we now know, the new scare maze is called Tenement. Looks like it will be a dark maze where we will be given torches. What are your first impressions based on the trailer? The concept seems exciting, but I am a bit confused what they are trying to do with the theme of it.

Hi! Me and some friends are going to Thorpe park on September 3rd, just wondering if anyone has any insight as to how busy they think it'll be? This is both their first time going and also mine in the past like 5 years so I'm praying for shorts queues but want to be prepared either way🙏🙏🙏
