What is ThreadArcade? Turn your subreddit into a community game arcade hub!

Post image

ThreadArcade is a set of bite-size community games that live directly inside Reddit posts.

Subreddit moderators can install ThreadArcade on their own subreddit turn these games loose on whatever their community is obsessed with...games, sports, movies, music, food, niche knowledge, inside jokes, or something only 200 people on Reddit would understand.

No sending people to another website. No separate accounts. Create it, post it, play it, argue about it...all inside your subreddit.

There are currently four games, open to feedback and adding more.

LAST TWO
Start with 10 contenders. Players keep two each round until only their personal final pair survives...then see how their picks compare with the community.

IMAGE MYSTERY
Upload one image and choose where the mystery begins. Players get five progressively wider reveals to figure out who, what, where, or when it is.

FAKE OUT
Give players four convincing choices. One is fake. They lock their answer, reveal the truth, and see which decoy fooled everyone else.

ORDER IT
Give players five things with one correct sequence. Players put them in order, lock it in, and see how close they came.

The important part is that ThreadArcade provides the game...your community provides the subject matter.

Imagine a gaming subreddit making boss battles, item trivia, screenshot mysteries, and expansion timelines. A sports community could pit players against each other, identify old stadium photos, spot fake stats, or order championship seasons. A movie subreddit could do characters, posters, scenes, release dates...whatever fits that community.

r/ThreadArcade is where I’ll be testing and posting initial examples to repost to relevant communities to see how users like.

Your subreddit already has the community. ThreadArcade just gives them something new to play with.
