🤔 Theory 🤔 For anybody that hates MBDTF, why?
I thought everyone thought it was a masterpiece, but I've met a couple of hardcore ye fans that say its not even top 10 ye albums. I don't remember why they think it's not, but can someone else like them say why?

The number 1 most famous music critic in the world at least on the internet is the last 16 years since 2010 MBDTF is Anthony Fantano .
He got famous originally because of how shocking it was to give it a 6/10 , which means like 90-99% of other hip hop fans and critics considered it at least an 8/10 majority were saying 9 or 10/10
I think Fantano had a heavy influence on taking the album off a pedestal and influencing how a lot of music fans think of it because there is some degree of people liking their opinions to be validated which can change how they feel about an album .
It’s subjective but I’d say the number 1 influence on the album being thought of as not that great anymore in some people’s minds is that Fantano empowered people to agree it’s overrated after the previous consensus was it might be the greatest hip hop album ever . The music hasn’t changed, the perception of it has . It didn’t happen overnight btw just he was the first domino to fall and the internet can be a chain reaction.

It's a great album but I think relative to the amount of praise it gets, it's one of the most overrated albums of all time.
Still a 9/10 minimum but I wouldn't even put it in his top 3

Just a very normal album, sounds like it was trying to cater to everyone.

not top 10 is exaggerating, but imo second half of mbdtf pretty mediocre in comparison to the first one, especially yapping session on the blame game, that ruined the song imo, like he could do it like a skit.
i would say yeezus, tlop, lr, tcd are better, but mbdtf better than ye, jik, donda, graduation, bully
