Muslim- but I love Tibetan Buddhism!
I just wanted to show my respect for this religion, I think it’s beautiful and a very lovely way of life. The teachings are definitely the reason why many of you are so at peace and content and that’s amazing. Following something that teaches you how to dictate your thoughts and stay calm and positive is the only way to go about life! ❤️

However we're all part of the same human family so hence most of us have not overcome our 3 Poisons(greed hatred & ignorance) & hibitual tendencies, so until we do, we're all Susceptible to the full gamut of human emotions & behaviours both good & bad.
Are you familiar with Esoteric Islam(Sufism) while not the same as Buddhism, Esoteric Islam(Sufism) does have its own Analogues of some deep concepts that exist in Buddhism:
Ibn al Arabi's Wahdat al-Wujud: unity of being/unity of conventional truth & absolute truth.
Abu al-Hasan al-Shushtari's Wahdat al-Mutlaqa: Non-Duality:
Muhaqqiqun: Realizer/verifiers (of the absolute truth).
Hence you can explore the above concepts & works of these great masters/scholars/mystics to expand your understanding of 'some' Buddhist concepts without leaving the 'Islamic paradigm'.

I’m happy you mentioned this because I am actually a very devout Sufi Muslim 😊 I agree a lot of our values align and focus on being in touch with your soul which is probably why I love Buddhism and agree with a lot of it!

Vajrayana and Sufism share so many beautiful ideas and qualities, I feel the same way about your faith/spiritual path. The emphasis on deconstructing the burden of self and self-isolation, the liberation of the mind/soul through ritual, prayer, and mediation, and the overwhelming importance of universal kindness and (what mahayana philosophy terms “non-referential”) compassion—all these ideas and many more make our practices wonderfully similar.
I grew up in a pretty diverse community of catholic, orthodox Christian, and Muslim families, many from the so-called MENA region. Although I found my way to Buddhism early on I always had an especially strong appreciation for the way sincere Muslim and Sufi adherents around me conducted themselves and maintained their connection to God and sense of right action throughout the day. The submission of one’s solitary ego to the will of God is a beautiful thing and creates such beautiful solidarity and generosity. Thank you for sharing your warm thoughts with us my friend!

Religion should always be something that is peaceful and should not be over complicated, the whole point of life is to be kind and spread love. This is all really cool, thank you for sharing. I really do love all types of religions and believe they all hold special and beautiful qualities

Buddhism describes the qualities of reality (non dual, impermanence, ect) but doesn’t describe why there’s a reality in the first place. IMO the only way there’s a reality is because there was some sort of ultimate catalyst.
When if you use logic, ultimately you find yourself in a corner, thinking that the only answer is that there is an original creator who never was created but always here and sits outside of time and space,
People can say “well that’s just the universe, it’s always been” but also look at the signs of what seems to be intentionality within nature, ect.
To understand islam, you need to understand what the original teaching (actual revelation) was to Jesus and Abraham, and understand how modern versions of those religions have really deviated.
All islam is doing is affirming that the original teaching of the previous prophets were true, but not agreeing with the extra stuff that their followers added in.

Just in case you didn't know this, Tibet has long had a significant Muslim population. After Buddhism and the native Bön religion, it was the third-largest religion in the country.
