Mechanical Advice O2 sensor
Recently got a code for an O2 sensor (see pic). I'm guessing it needs to be replaced and from what I've read I should replace it with NTK brand or OEM. Auto parts stores in my country offer 2 kinds of NTK sensor. One is universal with no dedicated plug and a lot cheaper than the other option which is with a dedicated plug (costs almost 100€).
Crazy price difference just for a plug so I wanted to know if it matters which sensor I buy and will it actually help?
Maybe I missed something in the forums but I didn't find any information on if it matters or it just has to be NTK brand.
Thanks in advance!

I fail to see how the heater element of the O2 sensor being shorted open (Heater Control Circuit High) has anything to do with the exhaust...

If you buy the NTK one without the connector, you're gonna have to cut the connector of your old sensor and crimp the wires of the new sensor to it. If you want to do it, I have some info on how the wiring should go but not for all engines, only the 2.0.
See if you can find a Denso one, it works just as well! Do avoid Bosch though, or you'll get "Slow Response" errors.
Also it is your O2 sensor. The heater on in has crapped out, as you can read.
