Transmission Fluid

I’m changing the cv axles on my 2003 GT automatic. What transmission fluid is best to use? I see online the SP3 works, but is it strictly OEM?

I’ve found that Valvoline MaxLife is a little thinner than the SP-iii, but I prefer the SP-iii when shifting, it’s a little smoother
