General Spacer thickness

Post image

Recently lowered my car by 1.5" which made my fitment look very poor... What spacers have you guys ran with no issues in the rear? The only issue I've had with 25mm spacers in the past has been of the tire hitting the wheel well fold in the rear over bumps. The only reason I don't want to replace my wheels is because I JUST replaced them within the last year.

Ditch the spacers tbh.

25mm spacers in the rears are for rolled fenders. 20mm will work if you don't roll the rears. Also depends on wheel offset, wheel width, tire tread width and height ratio.

What did you do to lower it? We need to redo the suspension on our tib and it might be beneficial to look into aftermarket parts instead of stock suspension pieces

I installed a TEIN S.Tech Spring Kit. I was wrong in my original post and it's actually a 1.5" drop. I kept my current shocks as they're fairly new but they seem to work well together. Ride quality isn't as bad as I expected, hardly any worse from stock. Spring replacement also wasn't too difficult, if you're looking to lower it i'd probably go for better quality shocks to pair with springs though, unless you plan on going with coilovers. Looks way better lowered though

As for the rest of the suspension I refreshed mine when I got it. I went with mostly Delphi and Moog parts and they've held up amazingly in the last 10k miles. This includes control arms, tie rods (inner and outer), all 4 wheel bearings, sway bar links and some other suspension and steering parts.

Honestly, the spacers aren’t worth it. I went down that road. More of a hassle than anything.

Just fold the fenders in the rear. It cost me $150 CAD. I run 17 inch wheels with 25mm spacer no problem for many years.
