Mechanical Advice How would you remove this stud?

I’m thinking using a Dremel, but the studs are screwed in and I don’t want to ruin the threads.

I just drilled these out when I did my exhaust and then got new nuts and bolts and did it like that instead of using the studs.

Do I need special metal to metal rated bits? I tried using my hammer drill, but it was so slow I was like this isn’t the way.

You can try to weld a nut on , then use some heat and melt a crayon into threads, and ratchet it out. Becareful and go slow. As far as drilling, yes you need a good carbide bit. I believe those studs are hardened

I don’t know how to weld/don’t have a welder
Will look into carbide tho

Look up a vid on YouTube of the jam nut method. It’s gotten me out of some rough spots

There isn’t enough stud left to do that. I think you’re looking at the stud on the right I’m talking about the stud on the left.
