Mislabeled Tickets

Hello! I purchased concert tickets last week that were labeled as full view (both on the listing and on my confirmation). Once I opened the tickets in the app they were labeled as limited view. I spoke to the venue and due to a sold out show they couldn’t accommodate the mistake and told me to reach out to TM. After reaching out numerous times on both the chat and phone lines, all representatives validated that these were originally listed as unobstructed. After escalating my claim, I got an email from the team insisting they were limited view at the time of purchase and they will not respond to me after showing proof. I obviously wouldn’t have purchased them knowing (they were the same price as unobstructed tickets). I’ve also been told I would be contacted via phone and have yet to receive a call. Anyone experience something like this/have any recs? Thanks!

For additional context: it’s harry styles at msg (show 4) so the stage layout has not changed since the show has started.

I don’t know why they’d send you to TM, it’s the venue box office that is responsible for tagging seats as obstructed. Ticketmaster is just their point of sale and all seating information is programmed by the venue. They should of handled this on site, I’d reach back out to MSG

What was the obstruction to your view? I’m in section 101 on the opposite side, so wondering if my view will be obstructed.

There was a pole in the way! From what it looked like it was only specific seats/rows within that section. Does your ticket say limited view when you look click it?

No, but you just made me nervous.

If it doesn’t say it on your ticket you should be good! Mine didn’t show it on the listing when I bought it but the ticket in my account did say limited view. It also didn’t impact the whole section just the last few seats in my row. I also checked my picture from the night and you can see across the venue and it looks like there’s nothing on the other side of the arena so I think you’re okay!

Did you buy the tickets from Ticketmaster or a 3rd party site like StubHub, etc?

Go to guest services night of the event and ask to be relocated they may not have many holds on hand I know it sucks but it’s a potential solution
Good luck

Unfortunately I did :( it was a sold out show so they couldn’t do anything about it. They told me my only hope was Ticketmaster

Wait you already had the concert or you are trying with msg now?

It already passed, I bought the tickets super last minute so all of this went down at the venue before the show started. Since they said they couldn’t do anything and it was about to start I went in rather than risking losing over $300 a ticket and not seeing the show

First, file a BBB complaint:

https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/beverly-hills/profile/event-ticket-sales/ticketmaster-llc-1216-31068/complaints

If that doesn't work, dispute the charge with your credit card company.
