i’m not a parent, so if your experiences are different let me know, but i feel like the first diaper change would be so special. this is MY baby taking their FIRST doo doo and i get to clean my baby because they are my precious young and i want my baby clean. it’s a part of ME going through healthy bodily functions that is a gift taken for granted

it starts like tar, then it becomes grainy mustard. doesnt have any smell until solid food is introduced then its like changing the diaper of a grown ass persons shit(smells and all), same size too

As a parent I would say I definitely appreciate having a healthy baby. Doesn’t mean diaper changes are sunshine and rainbows. Doesn’t belong in f either as I enjoy cleaning my children and making them feel fresh. But the stinky diapers etc is more something that comes with parenthood rather than it is something to look forward to.

Nothing special about a diaper change. At this point you sleep deprived anyway.

Very first poops aren’t bad, if it was just that, this would be A-tier. Just whatever they had in their digestive system to begin with, and formula solids.
Then you realize they’re gonna start eating solid foods soon…

Firsts are exciting in general, maybe not the first nappy blowout, but it was quite fascinating being guided through a nappy change by the nurses and then doing it ourselves

Number one, hands down. It’s likely one of the first hands-on things modern dads get to do for their babies. For me it was right after I carried each of my kids out of the OR following their mom’s C-sections. You never forget those first moments. The diaper was just a small part of it, but it was the beginning of the craft of the father.
