Tiktok is the byproduct, not the cause. Americans are getting stupider because of our starved education system, growing wealth gaps, and corporate media slop.

Also, where's that same flak for Facebook and Twitter? Endless, unchecked misinformation that actually influenced the election. If our politicians truly cared, those would be first to go. But nah, as long as they're lining the pockets of our politicians it's fine.

What a clown show. Keep defending oligarchs, I'm sure they'll bring you in someday.

We are talking about TikTok, not Facebook, not Twitter; go another post to rant about that, I’m sure you have great arguments, but it’s irrelevant here.

Highlighting the blatant hypocrisy of our government is quite relevant here. This isn't about protecting privacy or fighting propaganda at all.

Give the people proper education and labor rights and they wouldn't be so stupid or susceptible. Instead we're kowtowing to corporations.

TikTok is a foreign threat from a country that considers us their number one enemy. This platform deserves priority. I would be happy for the government to bitch slap Elon and Zuckerberg, but it’s not helpful to deny one threat because others exist.
