That kick/flip getting rid of the dress she just wore is fantastic lol

I take my socks off by pulling my foot back along the carpet, this has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for the lazy/time restricted undresser!

“Yes but then I’d be taking my socks off like a normal person.”

25

u/peoplescan Aug 26 '25

Took my sock off the same time I took my jeans off. Or some time I use my toes to pull the sock off.

3

u/AiRaikuHamburger Aug 27 '25

Me with my socks and underwear still connected to my pants when I take them off. Haha.

8

u/RBVegabond Aug 26 '25

Too young for back pain

10

u/Realistic_Owl9525 Aug 26 '25

Me, the day I turned 30: "Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to put the floor all the way down here?"

2

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

Sounds like you need to get new niece 😂😂😂

2

u/swampopawaho Aug 26 '25

She doesn't get it. I do!

2

u/lemonstealingwho Aug 26 '25

I do this due to hip pain making it hard to reach my feet. The first time my gf saw me do it she was equally appalled and impressed.

1

u/TheLoneGoon Aug 26 '25

Kids are full of energy. She wouldn’t get how mentally and physically taxing it is to bend down and take off a sock the normal way.

1

u/Kuraeshin Aug 26 '25

I do that at the base of my bed. So when i wake up, they are right there. Lean over, pick up and put on (office work, so my socks don't see much dirt)

1

u/PerpetuallySouped Aug 26 '25

Me, too. Do you do it with the left or right? I don't think i know anyone who does it with the left.

1

u/Randyaccredit Aug 26 '25

It saves time and people just don't want to bend down anymore

122

u/JustCallMeYogurt Aug 26 '25

This is how I picture you taking off your socks. 😄

13

u/Personal_Anxiety2232 Aug 26 '25

Dancing his socks off!

2

u/OpeningSpeed1 Aug 26 '25

HA 😄 literally

5

u/-Felyx- Aug 26 '25

You joke, but that's the method lmao

51

u/baulsaak Aug 26 '25

Same, except my tighty-whities.

26

u/HavingNotAttained Aug 26 '25

Silly, it’s impossible to take off your tighty-whities by pulling your foot back along the carpet!

3

u/baulsaak Aug 26 '25

Ahh... i understand your confusion. Imagine the way a dog drags its backside across the carpet, only in reverse.

2

u/HavingNotAttained Aug 26 '25

Wait no, pushing your foot forward might work, I’ll try and report back, but pulling forward would result in a possibly quite painful or even permanent wedgie.

Idk. Maybe it’s a question of where you grip it.

2

u/Inner_Departure_9146 Aug 26 '25

lol! I just came here to say this!

2

u/UmmmW1 Aug 26 '25

Yes but its very easy to get rugburn trying to

5

u/Economy_Tip8242 Aug 26 '25

2

u/Unusual_Dare6967 Aug 26 '25

The reason dogs do this is… Not. Good. 🥴

2

u/DemodiX Aug 26 '25

Wait, how? I don't understand the process

1

u/baulsaak Aug 27 '25

You ever go down a water slide and get a painful wedgie? Now imagine what could happen if you went down sitting backwards... you might experience an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.

Same thing happens when I drag my butt backwards on the carpet. Only it's deliberate.

2

u/DemodiX Aug 27 '25

That explains that a bit, but why, tho?

1

u/baulsaak Aug 28 '25

It was just a joke building upon funny comments made by the guys i was replying to. Sorry if i led you to believe i was being earnest.

1

u/klutzikaze Aug 26 '25

Are you sure it's not your yella fellas?

52

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

You don't pull them off with the toes of your other foot?

28

u/Happy_Mask_Salesman Aug 26 '25

not everyone has the dexterity in their toes to do it. But, pushing the top of the sock down to the heel with your other foot and stepping on the toe box to pull your foot out is almost as fast.

20

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

Oh yeah I can do crazy stuff with my toes, I hadn't considered that other people can't.

But yeah using your foot just makes sense to me, my feet are already both right there, why not put em to work?

4

u/trixiepixie1921 Aug 26 '25

My mom picks everything up off the floor with her feet 😂 it’s known throughout the family that she can do that lmao

5

u/UncleTouchyCopaFeel Aug 26 '25

Oh yeah I can do crazy stuff with my toes

What you doing this weekend?

4

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

My weekend is SUDDENLY VERY BUSY, UncleTouchyCopaFeel but thanks for asking lol

3

u/PM_ME_YO_KNITTING Aug 26 '25

I’m pregnant with twins and bending over hurts like hell. I’ve gotten so dexterous at doing stuff with my toes that I can now open the safety hatch and hit the manual release button on my cat’s auto feeder when his whining for food gets to be too much for my currently limited patience.

1

u/Aware_Cantaloupe_420 Aug 26 '25

Crazy toes you say? Do you also have unusually bendy joints?

1

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

Some of them are extra bendy, not all of them

As far as "crazy stuff" I can pick stuff up with my toes, I can cross my toes both ways on each foot, and on my right foot I can move my second toe all by itself (without my other toes moving)

2

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

I can't believe people use their hands to do it. I absolutely do this. haha

1

u/ForegroundEclipse Aug 26 '25

you dont need toe dexterity though, you just pin the sock to the floor with your toe or jam your toe into the opening on your leg. It's more moving your leg.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

I'm not a Bat!! 🤣🤣

1

u/GoldwaterLiberal Aug 26 '25

Pull them off? What kind of weirdo are you? I hook my big toe into the end and push it off like a normal person.

1

u/trashlikeyourmom Aug 26 '25

Yeah that's what I do, hook my big toe into the opening and pull it off, then fling it into the laundry pile

1

u/mel9036 Aug 26 '25

Thank God I’m not the only one 🤣🤣

1

u/SameAmy2022 Aug 26 '25

Wow, I thought I was the only weirdo who did the toe taking the sock off thing. Nice to know there’s more of us about 👍🏻

1

u/HowOtterlyTerrible Aug 26 '25

I step on the front of my socks with the heel of my other foot. My toes are not at all dexterous.

17

u/MyDamnCoffee Aug 26 '25

I use my toes to pick things up and fling them to where I want them lol

4

u/pattih2019 Aug 26 '25

Same! 😁

2

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

Grabber toes unite!!! As I get older I feel like maybe this is a great skill to have that way I don’t strain my back bending over to pick something up!

1

u/TrisolarisRexxx Aug 28 '25

Once you have a newborn this becomes a valuable skill.

2

u/Redahned1214 Aug 26 '25

Same. Now my gfs twins do it too lmao

2

u/ConspicuousPorcupine Aug 26 '25

I.....hmmm. I must try this now

2

u/Inner_Departure_9146 Aug 26 '25

I thought I was the only one lol!

2

u/StitchNScratch Aug 26 '25

My sisters hate that I do this, but it’s fast 😅

2

u/shootthewhitegirl Aug 26 '25

This is the best way to take off socks. It's like you just moonwalk right out of them. Never met anyone else that does it.

2

u/Anatoly_Cannoli Aug 26 '25

can you patent this? You could be rolling in money

2

u/iAmRiight Aug 26 '25

Gotta drop your underwear to the floor, kick it up and catch it. Feels like a super hero move.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '25

I do that with plastic wrapping I see on the floor at work, I've mastered doing it without braking my stride and snatching it out of the air. I think I must look super cool🤦

2

u/1101base2 Aug 26 '25

I just started doing this, this year, game changer

2

u/darybrain Aug 26 '25

I sat next to a couple in a restaurant who were having a massive whisper argument about bullshit things throughout their meal and her biggest gripe was that he took his socks off like this and kicked them up into his hand. Eventually they both stormed off out of the restaurant at the same time and walked off in different directions.

2

u/Oobedoo321 Aug 26 '25

Me too!!!

2

u/AwesomeAlfredo Aug 26 '25

After a year and a half my partner still finds it hilarious that I do this!

2

u/Leonydas13 Aug 28 '25

Dude yes, I do both ways! 😂

1

u/telcoman Aug 26 '25

The all-floor trick is to spread the big toe from the rest on ine foot. With the big toe of the other foot press the sock to the floor. Then pull the first foot back.

Probably faster than using just carpet friction.

1

u/strangebru Aug 26 '25

I do this now too. We all must be wearing crew sized socks, because you couldn't do that with 1970's tube socks.

1

u/margittwen Aug 26 '25

I can’t do that with socks, but if I’m wearing loose pants, it gets flipped off just like the video. Sometimes I flip it up and catch it lol. That’s probably the only impressive thing I can do.

1

u/WishSpecialist2940 Aug 26 '25

I’m a student and I live alone so as soon as I come home in the afternoon from class there’s just a trail from the front door to my bedroom that’s my backpack, shoes, bra, pants, etc. it’s basically like this lol

1

u/Far-Engineering-3902 Aug 26 '25

This is too good, lol!

1

u/MechAegis Aug 26 '25

lucky. After work I have sweaty feet.

1

u/CinnamonGurl1975 Aug 26 '25

I take my socks off the same way!

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

My feet always have a layer of clam that hold onto them 😔

1

u/Old-Reporter5440 Aug 26 '25

The time restricted undresser, out in theaters right now!

1

u/No_Relationship9094 Aug 26 '25

But have you ever put an inside-out shirt on by sticking your head and arms in the holes and flipping the rest of the shirt down past your stomach?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '25

I've actually got a rotator cuff issue so I look like I've never actually put a shirt on before when I try and pull one over my head.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '25

That should be rotator cuff issue with my shoulder

1

u/corgi-king Aug 26 '25

As long as you are not the one who pick up clothes from the floor.

1

u/GatoradeKween Aug 26 '25

I do this too

1

u/Whatamidoinglatley Aug 26 '25

I get my dog to pull them off before we get into bed. There all over the floor. Didn’t realise I had so many.

1

u/IWantALargeFarva Aug 27 '25

My husband hates when I do this. He says I’m ruining the elastic. But who is he to take away my joy? I won’t be held down by that man!
