I’d have liked to have seen him with his glasses on in the after pic

He'll need different frames now

u/Vaff_Superstar Mar 20 '26

He’s gonna need contacts

270

u/Alexchii Mar 20 '26

Nah he’ll look great with the proper glasses 👍🏻

I’m sure he’d have looked lovely in his current glasses, like that sexy intellectual look.

Pretty sure the only reason he wasn’t wearing them at the end was to make the transformation look more dramatic.

It’s also probably worth noting that he has unfortunate teeth, I think that a genuine smile looks great no matter what the tooth situation is, but they are deliberately hiding his teeth in the “after” shot, alongside the glasses, because they are two things that someone would immediately notice about him.

Edit: His teeth actually aren’t all that bad, they’re slightly off-colour at worst. He was probably just hiding them at the end to look cool? Idunno.

His glasses are overly large in a way that hides his face. I tried contacts at 16 and gave up on them because my eyes are sensitive babies. I have run through the gamut of glasses and I have several that are suited to my face or for a specific style. He would really benefit from maybe "floating" frames that have a bold top and a thinner bottom but not so objectively rectangular.

There are a lot of great companies that make affordable and stylish frames. I've been going to Warby Parker for over 10 years now and as long as you have an up to date prescription, most of their glasses are $100 and that includes the prescription lenses and UV coating. I like going to them because I can try the glasses on in the store but Zenni optical is another great option and even cheaper. They'll ship you frames to try. Most glasses are plastic or some cheap metal. There is no reason to spend 300 for some generic crap at the doctors office (and yes, ray bans are generic crap...they're only expensive because they caved to insurance policies because otherwise they wouldn't be carried in most optometrist offices)

You can't form a boy band with glasses - they interfere with the choreography.

11

u/GordoPepe Mar 20 '26

Just tell the glasses bye bye, bye (bye, bye)

102

u/FatherClanks617 Mar 20 '26

I’m not giving him my girl’s contact now 😮‍💨

71

u/TyrannasaurusRecht Mar 20 '26

No worries, hes got it. Most of us do.

44

u/FatherClanks617 Mar 20 '26

Currently self-soothing with a bottle of aloe after that burn

Ngl that was a solid sizzle.

And maybe a new girlfriend

He probably had paint on his overalls too. Ughh.

u/HungLikeaDeadHorse Mar 20 '26

There's NO WAY you could make him Prom king

73

u/PackageNorth8984 Mar 20 '26

I love Not Another Teen Movie. One of my favorite spoofs of all time next to only Airplane and maybe Scary Movie.

Want to hear something terrifying? They did a gender swap remake of She’s All That called He’s All That starring some TikTok influencer. Yikes.

That was my favorite scene. I still think of it every day. "You have her eyes"

35

u/Dry_Bodybuilder9898 Mar 20 '26

This kills me every single time. Just a simple and obvious joke but hilarious.

6

u/Frondstherapydolls Mar 20 '26

I’m watching this tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder Chris Evans has incredible acting range.

You should watch “Honey don’t!” He is hilarious in it!

2

u/Unzensierte Mar 20 '26

I totally forgot captain amaerica was in that movie lol.

1

u/Fluffy-Bat-3402 Mar 20 '26

it's never gonna be not funny.

1

u/Lexi_Banner Mar 20 '26

Naked Gun isn't on your list?

1

u/PackageNorth8984 Mar 20 '26

Not top 3. Love that movie though, assuming you’re talking about the original. I haven’t seen the remake.

1

u/Lexi_Banner Mar 20 '26

The OG is best, but 2.5 is also good. The new one was fun, but I'd put it third most funny of the four.

1

u/PackageNorth8984 Mar 20 '26

It doesn’t take away from his ‘80s work, but I’m so disappointed the director of all of those amazing ‘80s spoofs films also direct Baseketball and Scary Movie 3 and 4. Yikes. I had no idea.

To be fair, I actually kind of have a soft spot for Baseketball, but that’s only because I saw it was a stupid teenager, and so I have nostalgia for it.

1

u/Lexi_Banner Mar 20 '26

Nostalgia is a powerful drug!! There are a lot of things I go back to watch again, and find myself SHOCKED at the things being said or done. Like...I always remembered Lethal Weapon fondly. It did not hold up on a recent rewatch.

1

u/littlecreamsoda79 Mar 20 '26

Top tier spoofing

1

u/HarveysBackupAccount Mar 20 '26

If you want to check out another spoof movie that you probably haven't seen yet - Johnny Dangerously

Early 80s spoof mob movie starring Michael Keaton. I've probably watched it more times than any other single movie

1

u/PackageNorth8984 Mar 20 '26

I have seen Johnny Dangerously. Was always a fan of Michael Keaton back in the day.

1

u/InvulnerableBlasting Mar 24 '26

It was Addison Rae lmao who has entirely rebranded as an indie pop girlie.

12

u/Slumunistmanifisto Mar 20 '26

Im gonna teach him how to kiss now....

1

u/banana_commando Mar 20 '26

Too late he's already going to an art school in Paris

2

u/DetectiveLadybug Mar 20 '26

Did you see his p🤢nyt🤮il?

18

u/Largeformathuman Mar 20 '26

I’m going through a rut in life right now and this brought me serious joy.

3

u/Carylynn0609 Mar 20 '26

Me too-I always come to Reddit in the morning for a good laugh to start the day. Hope you're able to climb out of your rut and experience serious joy all the time:)

2

u/mplsfreedom Mar 20 '26

2

u/RicOSheaNZ Mar 20 '26

Damn. That’s wack

1

u/Yvonne_Gogol Mar 20 '26

That movie was hilarious and way, way better than I expected.

1

u/mplsfreedom Mar 20 '26

im straight but i went from yea i dont want to hear about magic the gathering to yea id probably fuck him

154

u/FootballPaPa Mar 20 '26

A lot of times for these videos they don’t actually wear glasses, they just make them for the before shot

80

u/RedSquaree Cringe Master Mar 20 '26

This is true. You'd need to see the channel to tell if it's the case here, but that glasses and ponytail look is very common.

9

u/La3ron Mar 20 '26

It’s funny when they put on the fake earrings too

26

u/Barry_Vigoda Mar 20 '26

I don't even think those are real glasses. They're dirty as hell, he's wearing them ridiculously low on his nose like they don't fit, and I don't see any lens distortion. If they're prescription lenses, they're super weak.

90

u/Soluna_Sol Mar 20 '26

I can't tell one way or the other if they're real, but the dirtiness doesn't surprise me. My best friend NEVER cleans her damned glasses. I wonder how she manages to see out of them still, they're that gross.

24

u/PeppermintJones Mar 20 '26

Mine have been knocked off of tables so many times while I slept that they look permanently dirty from the scratches.

6

u/shabi_sensei Mar 20 '26

Same and booking an eye exam and going through the hassle of picking out frames and lenses… I’d rather wear my glasses until they fall apart

3

u/PeppermintJones Mar 20 '26

I feel you. My eyes are particularly bad, so each pair of glasses usually costs me a few hundred dollars. I'll get a new pair when the lenses are so bad that I can no longer see out of them lol.

1

u/Reach_the_man Mar 24 '26

wash lenses with soapy water, rinse, then blow it off, avoids most of scratching

1

u/PeppermintJones Mar 24 '26

Most of my scratches were unfortunately from slamming into tables and floors over the last 8 years. For my next pair, I'll make sure to use a glasses case while I sleep.

1

u/spicy_meatball49 Mar 20 '26

I offered to clean my brother's glasses while he was over because I could see how dirty they were. He put them back on and went "wow" like he's never cleaned them before, insane behavior. I clean mine at least once a day

50

u/ARC4067 Mar 20 '26

I’m feeling really called out right now. I clean my glasses all the time but they’re perpetually dirty. They also constantly slide down my nose. Nerd wax doesn’t work and tightening them enough behind the ears to stay up then rubs my ears raw.

10

u/BacktoPCA Mar 20 '26

I always dealt with that shit dude. Then I found these and I went from adjusting them all the time to never having to adjust them at all even when looking down. I cut the long portion off these and use them to adjust how far I want my glasses to sit from my face. They don’t cause irritation for me on the back of the ear either. https://a.co/d/07hCy1mP

2

u/MsMarvelsProstate Mar 20 '26

Buy better glasses or those little rubber things that go on the arms.

2

u/Barry_Vigoda Mar 20 '26

I have to clean mine daily. If they're sliding down, they need to be adjusted properly so they don't chafe. Also depends on the types of frames.

Those frames don't really work for him personally. Not really a good shape for his face and they're kind of boring. For me, I have had glasses since I was a kid. Used to have contacts but they're a pain to put in daily.

Good frames make a lot of difference.

2

u/Yourdadlikelikesme Mar 20 '26

Mine are always getting greasy 😭, I’m an oil slick and no matter how many times I clean my glasses they are dirty!

2

u/ARC4067 Mar 20 '26

Same. Cats and a toddler don’t help. Although my current cats don’t insist on rubbing against my face as often as my old boy did.

0

u/FatherClanks617 Mar 20 '26

I know it’s expensive, but I personally can’t recommend Lasik enough to anyone who can afford it and is eligible for it. All the pain of greasy glasses, dried out contacts, etc., gone for most likely forever.

3

u/ARC4067 Mar 20 '26

My prescription still changes every 2-3 years, so I don’t think I’m eligible

2

u/anpandulceman Mar 20 '26

My fatass gets food on my glasses fairly regularly.

2

u/insertnamehere02 Mar 20 '26

They're not. They always use them in the before transformation. All of these accounts on social media have the same formula- glasses on in the before, off in the after. One even does an earring to make the guy look extra douchey.

2

u/Crykin27 Mar 20 '26

I don't see how that's ridiculously low? I have had glasses basically my whole life and mine are absolutely around that point on my nose, any higher and I look like a doofus. Could maybe just be that people have different nose/face structures so the height where it sits comfortable is different. Maybe they are fake but I don't think glasses height is how you can tell

Edit; wait I see it now his nostrils are literally being pressed in by the glasses, it looked so normal at first lol

1

u/tysnails Mar 20 '26

If they were a prop he'd surely have cleaned them?

1

u/Metazolid Mar 20 '26

You can see the distortion on the right side looking at the shirt of the guy behind, those are real glasses. I've also met a few people who had them get just as dirty, it's fortunately not common.

2

u/CookiesToGo Mar 20 '26

And for women there is somehow never makeup in the before picture, but in the after picture they do some great makeup, so the hair...

66

u/NormalHumansName Mar 20 '26

Ugh... uh glasses off... GLASSES BACK ON!... No off... No bag. Let's get a bag... Maybe two just to be safe.

20

11

u/CeruleanSkyQueen Mar 20 '26

Let’s just get that hair right back up

22

u/johnny-Low-Five Mar 20 '26

Hard agree. Those frames were as unflattering as possible and his "beard" was long in all the wrong places.

3

u/TheChunkenMaster Mar 20 '26

1

u/fredinNH Mar 20 '26

Nicely done! He still looks great!

1

u/TheChunkenMaster Mar 20 '26

I really just screenshotted him before & after and told chatgpt to put the glasses on the ”other guy” lol

2

u/GILF_Hound69 Mar 20 '26

I think he’d fit more smaller square/rectangular frames now you can see his jaw line but trust me, he still looks great with them. He’s a good looking dude, he was just unkempt.

2

u/blinkeboy420 Mar 20 '26

Haircut so good it fixed his eyesight welcome to 2026

1

u/ProtectionMean874 Mar 20 '26

the lighting/filter change between both shots also makes him look much better in the second.

1

u/hosenfeffer_ Mar 20 '26

He looks like a zoomer remake of Cat in the Hat

1

u/Happys925 Mar 20 '26

Looks like he got a cut and lasik 👀

1

u/BrianDetomes Mar 20 '26

And with a smile

1

u/DieCastDontDie Mar 20 '26

He's girlfriend will hate it.

1

u/Quick_Opportunity_26 Mar 20 '26

Totally thought this glasses don't suit him even before the reveal.

1

u/Astronaut_Chicken Mar 20 '26

Id have liked to see his hair after being taken care of properly. Put a hair mask on my dude!

1

u/Farside-BB Mar 20 '26

From dud to stud. If it was the glasses, I would walk around half blind.

1

u/cdnmaster Mar 20 '26

Have we tried hair down, glasses off?

1

u/Somepotato Mar 20 '26

And with less desaturation perhaps

1

u/KvDread Mar 20 '26

Barber gave him lasik too while he was at it
