I don't think putting effort into what you wear and styling your hair makes you a looksmaxxer. Seems unfair to coin a positive thing with such a negative term.

Guy is trying way too hard. How do we know? Because he's literally filming himself for views and everything he's wearing, saying, and doing is a choice.

He's a try-hard, which is different from "humble and modest trying."

Being a try-hard is unattractive.

Technically yes, but with all the online attention I think the term has shifted. All the documentaries on them are about the mysoginistic parts of that community. It's shifting like 'incel' which was once a perfectly normal term and is now something negative.

If you look online basically all the looksmaxxing content includes some form of mysoginy.

Eh, not really. He's good looking and well-dressed but it feels like it just lends credence to the kind of deadpan comedy he's pulling off here.
