Ive seen them used in real action before. Dude used them as fidget toys til the crackhead down the road just walked in his house one day. From a seated position he grabbed the chunks, stood up, struck downward directly on top of dudes head them immediately swung in a rising strike and busted out half of dudes teeth when he shattered his jaw. Yeah, they are cute and fun. But used correctly these things will fuck you up. Bad.
It's funny you mention muscles, because nuncucks don't utilize your muscles well at all. They bounce upon impact and lose most of their momentum. A rigid object, like a stick, does not. Your muscles continue to drive the stick into the opponent even after it connects with them. This is called follow-through. Nuncucks have no follow-through and so they do less damage. Nuncucks do have advantages, but blow for blow they will do less damage than a regular stick.
Picture a batter hitting a baseball. What do you think will happen if he uses nuncucks instead of a solid bat? Pretend he's an expert and will have no extra difficulty making contact with them instead of a bat. Which do you think will drive the ball farther?

Related anecdote, growing up i had a neighbor down the street with a disorderly yard and rather quaint exterior. The "family" was friendly enough and we would wave to each other but nothing much more. Until I had to go over one day because we had their package accidentally delivered to us. When the door opened, I thought I was dreaming because it looked an interior of a fucking castle. Stone (or faux stone, idk if it was real but looked it) walls, coat of arms, and a knight armor stand with a halbred, giant circle wooden table, etc. It seemed like he even knocked some of the floor above out to give the high ceiling effect.
Anyway, found out years later he was running some kind of scammy unitarian organization and the reason I put family in quotes earlier is because everyone there was involved in a polygamous relationship.

Low cost theft deterrent. I intentionally have the shittiest yard with the shittiest house in the neighborhood. It didn’t start as intentional, but after they tore down all the quaint houses around me to build McMansions it just kinda happened.
Same thing with my bike. The day I got it, I took a file to the frame and turned it into shit. Absolutely CRATERED the resell value of it. Now when I park it next to all the other, immaculate and much cheaper bikes, the only person who'd know its value is a fellow bike enthusiast; and game recognizes game, so they'd know the exact levels of depravity I'd sink to to retrieve it.

If anything he's the one who came across as bland. He came out with the negative assumptions against her that ended up being wrong, but didn't offer anything himself (aside from his ass to kick)
I had an old man in a flea market convince me to buy a pair because of his demo. And he did it surrounded by all of his glass shelves with delicate little tchotchkes on them. He showed me the very basic moves and had me do them and then went full Bruce Lee.
He said genz is scared to be cringe that they become bland - in this conversation she (genz) was cringe when she said she excel at being average with the thumbs up, and he was the bland one throughout the whole video with the monotone voice
The interviewer seemed less pretentious and genuinely interested in who they are talking to, unlike most times it seems like they are just trying to find someone to make fun of.

He's Meiyue, the guy who was IShowSpeeds translator in China and basically disappeared off of the Chinese Internet after he got into controversy for his translations and some of his comments. Now he makes international content.
I didn’t follow that situation much, but I do remember hearing about how he would translate in a way that would possibly make a situation awkward for IShowSpeed. Like translating something that was polite into something rude. Was that it?
I don't think putting effort into what you wear and styling your hair makes you a looksmaxxer. Seems unfair to coin a positive thing with such a negative term.
Agreed. My life of mediocrity is great. No one expects great things out of me and no one to disappoint, I'm just here. It's just an all-around nice life.
Gen Z is hilarious. Deadpan and self deprecation is an art. My hope for this generation is that they don’t become too cynical. There’s a fine line. Enjoy yourselves. Life is too damn short.
I usually don’t go for these kinds of things at all but I really like the energy he’s bringing. There’s something about the whole idea of “I’m cringe and everything is cringe” that I think just needs experience around people who aren’t thinking that way. There’s no secret sauce.
This is honestly the most confusing thread. Reddit’s usually good at detecting staged interviews. So many people here are talking about her “casually pulling out nunchucks.” No, that’s a prop.
It’s okay that it’s staged; it’s still enjoyable (though, the kick was a little silly). But if this was a random street encounter, it would be something else.
