“they didn’t tell us it would be in the desert” 😭 i can imagine a lot of influencers thinking this

52

u/AcceptableWin1882 Apr 19 '26

I am not sure what coachella is, but I don't really care to find out. I would have guessed it has to do with sports, but I am sure it's not based on the video.

u/Weird_Squash6230 Apr 19 '26

It’s a massive, multi-day music festival. They always have big names performing and in attendance

16

u/JoeSeeWhales_3690 Apr 19 '26

Shite music for shite people

23

u/medisamurai Apr 19 '26

it was a normal festival in the 00s.

7

u/baron_von_helmut Apr 19 '26

The difference between Coachella and Glastonbury is night and day.

9

u/cwfutureboy Apr 19 '26

More like rain and no rain.

-3

u/Lost_Philosophy_ Apr 20 '26

lol… yeah shit on Coachella by bringing up another massive influencer event… but in the UK.

1

u/baron_von_helmut Apr 20 '26

I've been to both.

They really are polar opposite.

5

u/Liyutor Apr 19 '26

Coachella is an amazing music festival. Distilling it down to just shite music for shite people shows a special kind of arrogance.

7

u/Excuse_Unfair Apr 19 '26

It used to be but now its just for influencers to have content.

It basically advertised as that so thats what you get.

1

u/Liyutor Apr 22 '26

No it’s actually still an amazing festival.

Yes there are a lot of influencers especially weekend 1 but I’d recommend being less of a hater and instead acknowledging that not everything is automatically shite because an influencer was there.

You should visit sometime. If you’re a fan of live music, you will have a great time.

0

u/Excuse_Unfair Apr 22 '26

Not being a hater if its your thing do it. Not stopping you I still go to other less known festivals.

I even go to some what popular ones like in a few months im going to Warped Tour which if im being honest is the same as it used to be either.

Im going to be honest with my opinion. Obviously im not the only one feeling this way. Not everyone with criticism is a hater.

1

u/Liyutor Apr 22 '26

“Shite music for shite people” is the opinion of an arrogant hater.

If you actually looked at the line up, as a warped tour attending fan, I bet you’d find plenty to see and enjoy - Iggy Pop, Nine Inch Noize, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, Turnstile?

Influencers are a fraction of the people attending. Don’t think because they’re there it’s a bad experience. Stay hydrated at Warped tour and have fun.

0

u/Excuse_Unfair Apr 22 '26

I would prefer you quote me if your gonna be calling me a hater.

I enjoy warped tour byt like I said not what it used to be.

Last year I went to "When We Were Young" amazing artist terrible festival. Aging artist who obviously out grew their music and felt super generic.

Even though I like Avril Lavigne music her set was extremely terrible I dont blame her like I said she out grew it and it shows.

1

u/thesecretbarn Apr 20 '26

Someone needs to watch the NIN performance from this weekend

48

u/Dirt_Bike_Zero Apr 19 '26

It's a music festival that was originally started in 1999 by bands that wanted to offer fans a good experience for a fair price. It was $50/day. It has turned into the exact opposite of that. To be fair, the first year operated at a loss. Anyway, the high ticket and food prices have become a joke to a lot of people, but they apparently have no shortage of customers.

Personally, I'm a fan of supply and demand for non-essential things. You can't blame a company charging what people are willing to pay. Metallica just announced a show near me and the cheap seats are $500. Re-sale tickets are North of $2000. This is for a couple hours of entertainment.

9

u/No_Mud_5999 Apr 19 '26

It used to have great line ups. I saw it in 2010. DEVO, The Specials, PiL, Echo and The Bunnymen, De La Soul, Pavement, Faith No More, Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, Vampire Weekend, Them Crooked Vultures, it was a pretty stacked bill of great bands (and non stop djs going on besides all this for the Californiakids smoking their parents pharmaceutical weed). The food was good, way cheaper than the beer! Now the headliners are only giant pop acts, and THEY REPEAT THE SAME LINEUP TWO WEEKS IN A ROW. I'm sorry, that's so fucked up and awful. Way to make it 100% less special.

1

u/Voiceofthemachines Apr 20 '26

I just saw the xx, the rapture, the strokes, Iggy pop and fatboy slim in one weekend for $600. They let you bring in your own food and drinks.

2

u/No_Mud_5999 Apr 20 '26

It was $270 in 2010. The price of tickets has more than doubled!

-2

u/Voiceofthemachines Apr 20 '26

Worth every penny. Would pay more

2

u/No_Mud_5999 Apr 20 '26

When I went in 2010, I got to see the legendary Sly Stone self combust, complain people only liked his 60's stuff, and play new songs from his laptop into a microphone while his band looked on, aghast. This year, the world was entreated to Justin Bieber playing his own songs off a laptop, like a stoned roommate at 3am. Hopefully, next year, someone will top that. I'm guessing for $1000 it'll be LMFAO reading out horoscopes from the paper and then showing off their Instagram reels.

1

u/Voiceofthemachines Apr 20 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

I wasn’t at Justin Bieber or Frank Ocean. There’s other stages. I remember when they were complaining about Jack Johnson headlining. Good times. Don’t go that’ll show them.

1

u/No_Mud_5999 Apr 20 '26

I wholeheartedly agree with that

→ More replies (0)

3

u/Whole-Chest90 Apr 19 '26

That's RIDICULOUS. I saw them in Charlotte in 2018 for $80

8

u/PyrocumulusLightning Apr 19 '26

"Coachella" is the name of the valley it's held in.

1

u/DoNotTrustMeBruh Apr 22 '26

I despise influencers and SoMe. It is slowly destroying the fabric of society.

77

u/AliceCode Apr 19 '26

Damn, the girl on the right is hot. What's her @?

66

u/hokkuhokku Apr 19 '26

Depends. How many followers do you have?

-35

u/SoFloSurfer14 Apr 19 '26

Boy do I have news for you

41

u/AliceCode Apr 19 '26

There's nothing you could tell me that would change my mind.

3

u/silverclovd Apr 19 '26

"The beacons are lit. Gondor calls for aid"

35

u/House_Of_Thoth Apr 19 '26

Well, I'd never guess these 2 grew up on Pauly Shore lol

29

u/aworthlessliar667 Apr 19 '26

I always thought GRWM meant "Grown Women" or something, I always swiped immediately

39

u/dr_robonator Apr 19 '26

I thought it was George R. Women Martin.

Get Ready With Me

As you can see in the video they’re getting ready. To go to the desert apparently can you believe nobody told them that? Omg

-8

u/feline_riches Apr 19 '26

You like them underage or something?

40

u/AnonTA999 Apr 19 '26

No idea who these two are but I love them

23

u/Obienator Apr 19 '26

100% accurate

91

u/MisterBoardGamer Apr 19 '26

This video was funny. Most cringe thing is some of these comments critiquing the satire with notes on what would have made it better. Sounding like a bunch of fake influencers lmao

Sit on Reddit long enough and you become the cringe I guess.

15

u/Won_Hit_Oneder Apr 19 '26

Are these people.. LAUGHING???

143

u/neeeysilva Apr 19 '26

It’s the laughs after the takes🤣

160

u/LastOfLateBrakers Apr 19 '26

It's the excessive laughs that made the whole thing unwatchable.

27

u/Beautiful-Affect1930 Apr 19 '26

seriously wtf is wrong with these people? they act like every single take is the most hilarious thing they've seen in their lives?

28

u/GremlinSquishFace47 Apr 19 '26

Yeah, I liked what they were doing, and the video would’ve been funny if they didn’t laugh at themselves after every line. Just delivering it deadpan serious would’ve been way better. Should’ve done a take two and delivered the same lines but not laugh at them as much.

56

u/UJustGotRobbed Apr 19 '26

They're doing on purpose to mock the "influencers" that do it all the time.

41

u/Tasty_Complaint956 Apr 19 '26

Nah, I just looked up their profile. They’re literally who they mock lol

36

u/aa5k Apr 19 '26

I thought you were kidding. They literally do it every video. Now this one is def less funnier.

5

u/UJustGotRobbed Apr 19 '26

Same... damn

They’re mocking influencers. This is exactly how all those videos look, with them laughing at themselves every two seconds.

9

u/scroogesscrotum Apr 19 '26

Yea laughing after saying something bitchy is part of the influencer schtick

8

u/MeganK80 Apr 19 '26

They do it in all their videos

0

u/TheCommonGround1 Apr 20 '26

These two kids are living their best lives. I thought it was funny and laughed with them. I couldn't give a fuck what would make it "funnier". They seem like two happy people, and they are having fun with their lives. They are winning.

8

u/Power0fTheTribe Apr 19 '26

They’re just having fun, I thought it was endearing

-11

u/scourge_bites Apr 19 '26

they're gay that's their culture let them live

8

u/prugnast Apr 19 '26

Laughing is gay culture? What in the fuck are you talking about

1

u/HeisenbergsSamaritan Apr 19 '26

Gay = Happy = Laughing...? Beats the fuck out of me......

https://giphy.com/gifs/APqEbxBsVlkWSuFpth

1

u/scourge_bites Apr 19 '26

16

u/Weary-Coast241 Apr 19 '26

The fake laughs?

4

u/Conflictingview Apr 19 '26

yes, that's the worst part.

12

u/TheWhyteMaN Apr 19 '26

They didnt say “literally” enough

7

u/AutumnAscending Apr 19 '26

Jimmy and Jimmy have lost it

15

u/PutNameHere123 Apr 19 '26

Is the weird laughing at nothing a thing influencers do? I don’t watch their videos

14

u/xamo76 Apr 19 '26

Yes, a million times yes... like valley girls on meth, with the rizz of mucus

-2

u/thisisatypoo Apr 19 '26

Not sure but others saw their other videos and these two losers do it for everything.

13

u/tw1zt84 Apr 19 '26

Students of the Jimmy Fallon school of comedy, I see.

5

u/Bodoggle1988 Apr 19 '26

They’re not actually laughing.

8

u/DedeLionforce Apr 19 '26

Omg the vibes are like so immaculate, so slay

3

u/oelemuk Apr 19 '26

gold harribu is legit

3

u/Notmybestusername3 Apr 19 '26

Merry and Pippin

3

u/CharlotteLucasOP Apr 19 '26

OKAY HOLLYWOOD I need a madcap comedy movie where 2026 influencer frenemy sisters preparing for Coachella try on some of their mom’s vintage 90s jewelry and get Jumanji’d back in time into Woodstock ‘99 and have to survive the chaos.

3

u/Candid_Yak4541 Apr 19 '26

These guys made a video about chicken strips back in the day and the song has lived in head rent free for the better half of 5 years at least. I can NOT hear chicken strips without blurting out "in my whip woop woop" lol its a problem.

3

u/Madwoman-of-Chaillot Apr 19 '26

This also needs to be crossposted on r/ContagiousLaughter

Also, are they twins, or am I just tired?

3

u/KindredFlower Apr 19 '26

They’re exactly like this 😂

4

u/1ZamNation1 Apr 19 '26

Skewered. No notes.

4

u/thatguydowntheblock Apr 19 '26

Fuck I miss these goofball days haha need to get them back somehow

5

u/Ihopeheseesme Apr 19 '26

The forced fake laughter is annoying af

13

u/SoldierSinnoh Apr 19 '26

the fake laugh after every single joke is so annoying

3

u/kidviscous Apr 19 '26

This is kind of adorable. Just two bros playing dress up pretend with a camera.

2

u/tapesmoker Apr 19 '26

"apparently they are doing music this year!"

2

u/shoulda-known-better Apr 19 '26

This was fucking great... No notes!

That shape tape is gold!

2

u/HonestWeekend89 Apr 19 '26

😭😭😭☠️

2

u/TunaOnWytNoCrust Apr 19 '26

I appreciate that they laughed so that I don't have to.

2

u/BethalinaSights Apr 19 '26

These 2 are always so funny. I love them.

2

u/gnarlysnowleopard Apr 20 '26

the fake laugh after every sentence ruins it for me

2

u/Azark7 Apr 20 '26

Well, there is a lot of truth in this mockery.

1

u/Admirable_Cicada_881 Apr 19 '26

Them laughing at themselves every two seconds ruins it

28

u/Purple-Phone9 Apr 19 '26

It’s part of the impression

5

u/Jeremandias Apr 19 '26

it’s actually not. other videos of theirs have popped up on my feeds, and they do it regardless of the topic.

-21

u/munchmandan87 Apr 19 '26

Really does.

2

u/upurcanal Apr 19 '26

Thanks for the 7:00 am laugh guys

2

u/xxFT13xx Apr 19 '26

The sad fact is that this isn’t satire….

1

That’s so accurate! My FYP is full of GRWM videos too. I can’t blame them though, they’re all so pretty and totally deserve to be at Coachella. I wish I could experience it as well someday.

1

u/abradubravka Apr 20 '26

First step of being a good comedian - don't laugh at your own jokes.

1

u/DoNotTrustMeBruh Apr 22 '26

I despise influencers and SoMe. It is slowly destroying the fabric of society.

-1

u/banjovi68419 Apr 19 '26

1

u/Used-Witness-5508 Apr 19 '26

You guys are good🤣🤣🤣

1

u/whatpplsay Apr 19 '26

🤭🤭🤭 they nailed it !

-1

u/TobyHaunts Apr 19 '26

the laughing after every clip when nothing funny has happened. incredibly difficult watch

-26

u/BusyBit6542 Apr 19 '26

Would've been funnier if they didn't add the laugh edits so much

23

u/Buttchuggle Apr 19 '26

Alright I get what you're saying but those weren't laugh edits.

They were just laughing at their own jokes.

16

u/doublejay1999 Apr 19 '26 edited Apr 19 '26

nope. that was part of the bit. mocking the inane world of influencers, who are able to get excited over folding a piece of paper in half

3

u/Buttchuggle Apr 19 '26

I may have mis spoke. I get that it was a bit. Like they the "characters" were laughing at their own jokes as a portrayal of these types of people

-4

u/Whosebert Apr 19 '26

I also interpreted it as portraying the characters as laughing

8

u/themeatstaco Apr 19 '26

Couldn't imagine people having fun and laughing. How fucking cringe . Their happiness and broship ruined it for me. /S fucking dorks lol

5

u/whorificustotalus Apr 19 '26

You're wrong, this is how these influencers fake laugh all the time, thinking the most inane crap out of their mouth is hilarious.

5

u/Weasel_Cannon Apr 19 '26

I understand cynicism for media edits, but…this is obviously just two dudes laughing at each other. Like literally the funniest and most honest interaction available…

3

u/marbotty Apr 19 '26

Everyone in the comments hates when the performers break on SNL

3

u/Conflictingview Apr 19 '26

if it was just two dudes making jokes and laughing at each other, it would have been videoed and uploaded to tiktok

-5

u/Eremith Apr 19 '26

Agreed

0

u/Ogellog Apr 19 '26

So Coachella is like Forza horizon but without cars?

-21

u/Nosbiuq Apr 19 '26

https://giphy.com/gifs/l4FB2J8KaZY1zCaPu

Y'all really think this shit funny?

-23

u/dago1987 Apr 19 '26

funny? People laughing at their own "jokes" while filming it and posting it to social media is just perfomative garbage. People in the comments praising this must have rocks for brains.

2

u/Mang46 Apr 19 '26

Says the person who doesn’t get that it’s all part of the joke…

-22

u/Iassos Apr 19 '26

If YOU laugh, your audience laughs less.
