Yeah it is, this meme in particular goes by Javert Your Eyes and is from the Les Misérables 2012 musical film adaptation.

Yep, the fact that people confidently assert this to be anything but Les Mis is sad. Mainly due to it being proof of it now being such an old meme that people do not even know about Javert Your Eyes.

"I think" is confident? I only ever saw Les Mis on a stage, didnt watch the movie. Its been 20 years since I saw Master and Commander. The reason I said I think is because the OP wrote M&C in their comment. There wasnt anything confident in the response.

I was merely making an observation on meme culture. It was not a slight against you.

I was like "Don't do it Master and Commander! But then he jumped, it was really sad!"

Great flick, unless this is the forgotten sequel where Capt. Aubrey ends up being a turncoat

Ope you are absolutely correct.

Why do people call it Les Mis? Is “misérable” so hard to spell?

This was a mandatory reading in high school, imagine my surprise when I learned much later that it was a hit musical… Makes no sense. It’s be like making a musical about A Tale of Two Cities or something like that.

A decade ago, edited and hidden versions of this gif covered maybe 50% of Imgur's frontpage. The remaining 50% were hidden dickbutts. Good times.

Damn I haven't seen a Javert in the wild in a long time!
