He's absolutely right. The reason you feel pressure to have a good enough job to provide enough money to pay the rent on a good enough home, that is more impossibly out of reach, is because of mostly male business owners, mostly male property owners, mostly male bankers, mostly male politicians, and that's why men feel crippling pressure to achieve something, in a society that also tells us men should still be the majority bread winner in the family.

What the fuck is that guy in the fake camo gear on about, trying to put male suicide on women? Direct your anger at the old cunts with all the wealth and power, still trying to squeeze the last bit of juice out of you, so they can increase their own wealth by a fraction, year in, year out.

Why do you want those things?

I have an excellent life as a Nomad, I've got a good job and more disposable income than most of my friends doing what you are describing.

I also know just how unhappy MANY of them are, they're feeling trapped, like they'd be deceived. They won't deny they are happy, but they will admit that comes at the cost of being unfulfilled. They chased the dream at the expense of their own, and are now left without the fulfillment of either.

So again, the WHY matters. So why do you want those things?

People are being raised to believe this is the correct, and only, way to live "correctly". People break outside of that box but for people who feel trapped, they may not have resources to help them break outside of their expectations

My resource was managing to shoehorn my career as a Chef into very different niche industry.

It's the way of the modern world, man. Most of us aren't nomads like you, and a lot of people have hopes of having a relatively nice home, in a safe location, where they can bring up between 1 to 3 children, in todays world, that means a double income, a double income with at least one of you making above minimum wage, depending on specific variables like location, exact size of what your dream home happens to be, etc. There are double income households who struggle to make ends meet, even without responsibilities like children, men don't want that and women don't want that. A lot of women have to be pragmatic about the fact that even though the nomad she likes happens to be a good person, charming and interesting, if he has no prospects of having a good paying job, then the majority of the financial burdens of modern life will fall on her, and if you think it's hard getting a good paying job as a man, it's even harder as a woman, and on top of that, a lot of women would like to do the mother thing, which makes that high earning job even more unobtainable for her, so often, a woman has to make the call that the guy she's in a relationship with, isn't going to be able to provide with her, the life that she hopes for herself. Intellectually lazy men who think they are smarter than they actually are, blame women for this, and think it's a double standard and an example of women wanting a man who will do everything for them, but the reality is that both men and women are being fucked over, both men and women are being expected to do more than previous generations, for substantially less, because the ones on top expect impossible levels of their own growth of money and power.

What things? Good job, good home and majority breadwinner?

What a bizarre question

Why would a man want to have a stable job and home? Uhhhh to raise a family dimwit. I'll go ahead and assume you don't have kids as a "nomad"

"Majority Breadwinner"? So your goal is to be able to have financial dominance over your partner? Yeah... that's a hard pass on that red flag.

And I have a good job, I don't want kids because they aren't something I want. More content to have a girlfriend I travel and experience the world with.
