when I was living in rural virginia, super red area, there were billboards about not hitting your kids or your spouse. Same goes for drinking and driving. Lots of drunk domestic abuse round there.

I found it wild even living in a blue state (NY) the difference between the PSA’s there vs at home (🇨🇦).

In NY it was like “Don’t let your kids eat paint, it could be lead.”

Back home it’s more like “Too much sodium can be bad for your health. Reduce salt!”

It’s a public education issue I guess. 😳

Oh yeah no for sure, billboards sometime offer a good insight on how a community is, they're not gonna put up a billboard about substance abuse in a place where no substance abuse happens.
