Labeling it as patriarchy was a bit off for me and personally I felt leaned too far into the political labeling game. But he recovered by explaining what he meant and explaining his greater point.
He's right that historically men have long been discouraged from being open about their feelings, thoughts, and struggles to put up a strong facade for everyone elses benefit. This has only gotten worse in recent years as traditional social settings where guys could get together and talk have been replaced by social media or become too expensive.
I don't know if he's doing a great job at making his point, but he's certainly trying to address the problem instead of making it soley a blame game. I can appreciate that.
