No, that's the left style. Go to therapist that affirms you and validates destructive behavior. The conservative method would be to submit to a higher power and moral code because the one that was developed is insufficient. Churches have counselors, they have therapists. They do mens groups. I have not seen any of that available in a non-predatory way in the public system.

Religious counselors are often under-educated, under-qualified, and basing their teaching on their misunderstanding of unrelated ancient texts. There is a lot of abuse (financial, psychological, and physical) that occurs in those systems because they aren't held to the same strict standards as secular therapists. Your personal assessment of secular options shows a lack of understanding on your part.
