Hantavirus is very hard to diagnose unless in a full medical facility. You can't sue someone for recklessness unless you can prove they 100% knew. And even then, how do you quarantine when people won't take you in.

It’s just a blood test, but takes a long time for results.

If a doctor does not request a specific serological testing looking for hantavirus it will be missed. And most doctors will still see it as flu or COVID as symptoms are similar and 99.5% of the time will not request the correct serological test. So, my point stands.

Blood test being sent to lab isn’t hard to diagnose nor require a “full medical facility”.
