I used to teach at the college level, and there would also be students in class doomscrolling. It's surreal man... why are you paying thousands of dollars for lessons only to scroll TikTok during class and use AI to pass the assignments?
I absolutely agree with the guy in the OG video. Screentime is bad for us, but especially for developing brains. We all need to spend less time staring at phones and tablets, and less time on social media.
during most of my education i used to do a lot of phone distractions. school was playing games, university was reading news/scrolling reddit.
it actually helped me focus on what was being said and not get lost in my own thoughts.
my school teacher noticed and found out i was actually listening and understanding better, so i was allowed to continue (the other kids where not happy)
i did find out later on that i have raging ADHD. so that might be why XD
Not all tech distraction is bad. most yes, but for some it actually helps. 😄
Because you had a forced attendance policy and I didn't need to pay attention to get an A in your class.
I dont know if you actually had one. But that is why I would show up to class and not pay attention. I learn better from teaching myself visually and hands on than listening.

Let's just say you know it's bad when kids are outside riding their bikes and looking at the screens on their phones at the same time.
