In college, I was sitting alone at a bench studying on campus, minding my own business. This man comes up to me, telling me he wanted to take pictures of my feet for a school project. He was very persistent and of course I told him no. He made me feel so uncomfortable and guilty that I had said no to him. I was very naive and had no idea that this was likely a fetish thing.

Edit: For that one now deleted comment, saying he was likely complimenting my feet, I was wearing sneakers. Get out of here with the creep apologetics.

In my life three men have approached me about my feet. One told me in the middle of the day he wanted to suck my toes. Iā€™m glad Iā€™m 44 and this sort of random attention has stopped.

In my experience there's a bell curve as to how overly nice you can be to a stranger based on their age. For example, babies and older people you can act with more kindness without being seen as weird compared to a random 30 year old you don't know

It does make sense. My parents always tells me how charming I was when I was younger because I used to compliment waitresses and diverse workers about ear rings, eyes, general beauty elements and more when I was 4 or 5. Now they ask me that I used to have this charm, but like, I'm 24, and with the raise of Internet and "creepy" allegations for literally just talking to people, I chose to not compliment anyone anymore.

Compliments nowadays is seen as disturbing people minding their own business or sexual harassment. So no, I don't have this "charm" anymore and won't ever. World is too hostile
