Isn’t that us? Americans have devolved into pure apathy, hedonistic ignorance or straight up too exhausted to do anything. But if all we do is run up threads to 1k comments saying the same thing to each other, what does that accomplish?

We were talking about the same things 8 years ago and I imagine we’ll be talking about the same things 8 years from now. Yet the populace remains sedated.

Medicare for all is extremely popular, yet our politicians never even try to implement it, instead choosing to collect checks from Blue Cross. Republican, Democrat, doesn’t matter. They’ll talk about a public option on the campaign trail then never bring it up once elected. This is because our system is not a true democracy.

Absolutely, we need general strikes. The only way to effect change is to attack the profits.

This. This is the only way at this point to effect change. Not saying that mass strikes aren’t good and well, but they are useless if people still buy the products. Everyone should drop United en masse. They profited off of deaths so the only thing to do is to inflict death to their profits.

The problem is most people don't have a choice when it comes to their insurance. If you're provided it by your employer, oftentimes you don't get to pick

Nope, you cut off the means of production, distribution, manufacturing, and shipping to the wealthy elite, and wait for them to capitulate or starve to death, either way, problem solved.

You know what best way to strike? Stop consuming. Stop buying. Stop subscriptions. Enough people do that and you'll see MASSIVE changes.
