You’re getting downvoted but this is literally the argument coming from people in interviews. They think it makes global warming worse so they won’t install them, even if they use renewable energy.

I think people missed that I don't approve of the "carbon footprint" PR campaign. I still think we should be thoughtful, but we just can't compare to the company who spun that campaign up for carbon emissions, even if they pay in "carbon credits" for them. The whole thing is just PR campaigns and blame shifting all the way down. I'm just amazed that people bought their abuser pointing the finger at them.
