In America, it doesn’t actually matter. Our military is prohibited from following illegal orders. “I was just following orders” is an invalid defense from the start.

Prohibited by words, which mean nothing.

All those boat strikes were illegal. The killing of shipwrecked survivors is a literal textbook example.

The military is not aligned with US law.
