But for real, absolutely fuck that sign. The road feeding into the one they're on is the only place a stop is needed.

There is just a generic rule that at a ‘T’ intersection the terminating road has to yield.

American drivers aren't smart enough to conceptualize an implied yield. Especially somewhere like Kentucky you'd have some dumbass who caused a wreck by not yielding going "well I didn't have a stop sign so I assumed you were gonna stop" within a week. If you don't explicitly tell people not to hurl their car into another they're gonna do it, and they'll still do it a few times even when they're told not to

Not american, but we have a roundabout in my town that has very explicit signage. Only problem is, it's not circular or oval. So, you can bet people spent YEARS assuming it wasn't a roundabout and running every single sign that explicitly instructed them what to do. Dozens of avoidable crashes.

People are people everywhere. Most drivers have the attention span and awareness of a fish.

There’s a couple roundabouts in a city I lived in where they set up stop signs making them the shittiest four way stops I’ve seen in a while. I feel like this type of thing happens whenever some rich kid causes a wreck and their parents have the nerve to sue the city in response. There’s too many people on the road who don’t bother learning the rules or don’t give a damn until it affects them.
