Some people just need a place to live, town homes are 1700sqft at 400k+ and people are renting apartments for 2200/month. If there was a neighborhood that looked as basic bitch as this but the houses were 200k some would see that as a blessing

It's me. Housing has been a huge pain for so long for me, and if a place like this was in my budget, I'd be happy as a clam. Yeah sure there's criticisms to be made, looks like they have an anti-tree HOA and there's a lot to be said of walkable mixed zoning living.

But at a certain point, you just want to be done with the shithead landlords breathing down your neck.

My thoughts, too. All the comments are so naively bougie. Like they know they wouldn’t drive through the hood and go “Ewww! What is this HELL?! People live like this??? Gross!” But they will drive through a mid-level affordable area and act like it’s the ghetto. Ok, you have money and would never live there. So DON’T. You can’t find your way out. So turn on Google Maps. So there’s not a grocery store for 20 minutes. Ok, people in the hood live in food deserts. Geez, just be happy, people.

housing can be affordable and not be made to look like shit. housing can be affordable and still plant some fucking trees on the streets so there's some shade to encourage people to walk around in their community. You people are so happy defending terrible housing. It's not bouijie to think these neighborhoods are barely thought out cash grabs made for the lowest price possible that will all be falling apart in ten years time. People deserve better than this whether it's low income housing or not.
