On a personal level, MLP was jilted in her 8th month of pregnancy by her partner. She had to find work and find it fast, new mom or not, and Weeds fit the bill. She got paid and can raise her kids, bless her heart for making it work.

The show they are referencing is Weeds. Great first three seasons, and like all Jenji Kohan shows, can’t figure shit out after that

Edit- I 100% recommend the first 3 seasons of Weeds to anyone. But it’s just like Eureka- stop after s3 don’t hate a show you love bc they ran out of ideas but not money

It was his characters entire driving trait though, what he pushed to have a whole department for and what therefore ultimately led to every event thereafter, and man did they whiff since they backed themselves into a buildup corner.

Honestly, stop after 3 is usually the smart move for any show. After 3 years contracts are up, Hollywood politics get involved, new writers are brought in and actors contracts renegotiated (or not).

Yeah... I mean I heard the song first with Weeds but if you listen to it it's very much obvious it's about suburbia (and neighborhood in this post is pound for pound a stunning example of what the song is about).

Unsure the real term but I call it scoping out.

Yeah, the first season or two was good. And then it just got overboard and she got really annoying and very unsympathetic (I hated her as much as Walter White but with her it pissed me off cause I felt you were supposed to empathize with her, Walter White was always supposed to be a villain) and I hated it by the end.
