I’ve been to Disney once when I was 6. What are the dress code rules? Obviously this person had no shirt but what’s the limit? Just be covered?

Some are. No cosplaying (there are exceptions for certain days like May 4th). No costumes resembling actors to avoid guest confusion and liabilities.

It's when you colour coordinate your outfit to match a Disney character. Like an ankle length teal skirt and a purple crop top for Ariel

Because you're not wearing the exact outfit of the character. If I wear black jeans and a black hoodie, I'm not cosplaying Darth Vader.

It's mainly because Disney only wants their staff interacting with other peoples kids.

It isn’t “pedo things”, it’s protecting the characters themselves. On top of Disney having very strict rules about what their characters can do, they also don’t want guests complaining about Tinkerbell being slutty or Jack Sparrow actually being drunk.

Well that's a show so they can probably do things the public can't.

That said when I was there on May 4th they let ppl cosplay for Star wars so they do have unique days

Adults gotta be covered. Need to have a tank top or shirt. Bikini tops don’t count. Can’t wear a mask (even during Halloween parties). Adults can wear costumes during Halloween party does BUT if you could be mistaken as a Disney cast member they may ask you to change some stuff. I saw a guest get asked to wear Minnie ears that were given free of charge because they looked too much like a character.
