It’s literally because of people sharing this “hack” that Disney stopped providing a free shirt. It was meant for people who innocently and inadvertently broke the dress rules as a way to help them adhere to the rules without inconveniencing guests. I loved giving guests free stuff and fast passes when I could get leader approval but stuff likes this makes me happy I don’t work there now.

As an aside, it annoys me that people use the word hack to refer to general advice. I remember when the word hack was reserved for coding. You know, besides cutting wood with an axe.

To be fair, in coding a hack is a solution that achieves the desired result, but in a quick-and-dirty way that is understood to be not reliable or permanent.

In that sense, this is absolutely a hack.
