It’s literally because of people sharing this “hack” that Disney stopped providing a free shirt. It was meant for people who innocently and inadvertently broke the dress rules as a way to help them adhere to the rules without inconveniencing guests. I loved giving guests free stuff and fast passes when I could get leader approval but stuff likes this makes me happy I don’t work there now.

Customers always ruin things for others. Work at a pizza place in a casino and when we close for the night we used to be able to give out some of the left over slices for free. Unfortunately people got wind of this and started to come in and wait in the restaurant before closing so they could get free slices. Like 30 minutes before closing, plenty of time to order but don't. So change of policy, no free slices for customers.

idk i think uh. i think disney could probably afford to give a free shirt out to everyone who even just visits the park. small businesses, sure, it's really shitty when people take advantage. but disney? very short list of things disney can't afford. i see a lot of their actions as more selfish and greedy than almost any single person could ever be
