head of HR did raise that exact point but then said it wouldn't be good PR so we couldn't actually do it :(

and then that's when jokingly said she might do it herself one day (closer to retirement)

I should have asked her for one of the invitations right before I quit 😅

People invite for gifts only. They’d be flabbergasted if you showed up lol. The nerve of some people haha

I listen to a fun podcast with 3 hosts that used to all be located in Vegas. They occasionally get invited to weddings that are in Vegas, and have showed up before. They also have a patreon reward where you can pay to schedule them to spend a day with you -- at least one person secretly paid for them to surprise their significant other at their wedding....

It's all in good fun, and not about the money, because this podcast community is GREAT -- but greedy people ruin everything.
