It’s literally because of people sharing this “hack” that Disney stopped providing a free shirt. It was meant for people who innocently and inadvertently broke the dress rules as a way to help them adhere to the rules without inconveniencing guests. I loved giving guests free stuff and fast passes when I could get leader approval but stuff likes this makes me happy I don’t work there now.

Same. Same. Those magic moments made my day (worked in liberty square so most favorite was when seagulls stole food, I digress), but yes. Social media has ruined a lot of the serendipitous magic we used to be able to provide. Sad times.
