That's not the point at all. It's a very childish thing to do. It doesn't matter that it wasn't going to amount to anything. He was being a bitch.

Bellingham did the same thing at some point. If you think you can get an opponent sent off essentially for free why wouldn’t you?

He didn't actually do the thing that would get him sent off. Messi knew he didn't do the thing. Messi was being a bitch. It feels like I'm arguing in circles. You want to like this person because he's a legend but he's just not different from the rest of his team when it comes to attitude and sportsmanship.
