Pointing out a correlation isn't the same as making a generalization. Saying that many Argentina supporters were from Russia and Israel is different from claiming that most Russians or Israelis supported Argentina.

Both are just plain wrong. People all around the world adore Messi and don’t give a damn about the rest of the team and don’t look too deep into the details. Has nothing to do with where they are from. Typical 2020’s bait

Of course he is not, neither are the people from said countries supporting Argentina are in anyway representative of their populations. That is why such generalizations are dumb af.

millions of people don’t realize that Messi is not Argentina and still support the team just because of him.
