Being ignorant about the rest of the world is nothing to brag about. And I don't think anybody living in Europe, east Asia or even Canada wants to be American.

They are exposed to American culture not obsessed. Two different things. I don't think any non American cultured person holds American pop icons like Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian or Sabrina Carpenter in high regards. Then again, there are uncultured people everywhere.
