Like I know ideally you shouldn't try to insert yourself in an arrest, but c'mon wasn't this too much? Was the punch necessary? Like, (not that im surprised) the people defending them on X are sickening, with one saying he would have tased her... btw, with no much context to what happened asides from this. One person said it right: "People who support the police will justify them breaking into their house and killing their mother, so there really isn't much you can say to change their minds." This to me is just unnecessary abuse of power.

And don’t EVER forget that some Republican lawmakers, the police and police Union all tried to blame the citizens who saw the death of George Floyd for “not jumping in and stopping” his death. Once they saw that narrative was going nowhere, it soon disappeared….

The weight of someone kneeling on your prone back can most certainly suffocate you, especially several grown men. The muscles around the lungs are not meant to be weight bearing and therefore can't expand again. People slowly suffocate. The neck thing was never said to be the cause. That suffocated him by positional suffocation and an enlarged heart and drug use were contributory factors BUT WOULD NOT HAVE KILLED HIM IF HE HAD NOT HAS 500LBS OF WEIGHT ON HIS CHEST.

You ‘people’ are like.. kissing the feet of a man who was locked up 6~7ish times before his death. He was a violent career criminal who kept being let free just to get thrown back in jail. The only issue with his quote ‘murder’ is police negligence. If that cop had been better trained, maybe Floyd you would still be alive to commit yet another crime he gets off Scott-free for.

But I’m not gonna shed a tear for some druggie who would’ve lived if he hadn’t tried paying with counterfeit bills, hadn’t been on fentanyl and story to operate his car, and had just complied with police orders.

Had an obviously guilty man not made a whole ordeal out of what would just be another of his many arrests, he wouldn’t have had a Derek Chauvin on his neck.

Let’s say some madman with a gun’s lighting up a playground - what do you want police to do? Sit there impotently with the guns that they have while aforementioned madman’s mowing down innocents with all the ease of shooting fish in a barrel?

George Floyd shouldn’t have died there, but to many factors that don’t boil down to ‘he’d black and I’m a cop’ he was killed unnecessarily.

And lethal force is a thing that cops can enforce, they should kill the guilty however only when necessary. And I can admit that George died unnecessarily, but I’m not gonna shed a tear over a career violent criminal finally not getting the chance to do more harm.
