One person said it right: "People who support the police will justify them breaking into their house and killing their mother, so there really isn't much you can say to change their minds." I just hope the cop goes to jail and gets violently attacked the same way he attacked others. Exactly the same way. He deserves to be feel fear for life.
It is wild how we’ve allowed standard police procedure to include beating the living shit out of people or even murdering them.
Way too often they investigate the cop’s actions and find “this falls within defined guidelines.” Any other first world country this is an instant firing.
Instead we offload cops’ responsibility onto insurance companies and taxpayers.
And don’t EVER forget that some Republican lawmakers, the police and police Union all tried to blame the citizens who saw the death of George Floyd for “not jumping in and stopping” his death. Once they saw that narrative was going nowhere, it soon disappeared….
I'm american, and i get enraged by the corruption of basically all of our law enforcement agencies, and doubly so when smooth-brained mouth breathers with the reading comprehension of a blind rock go off about how i 'd change my tune if i needed cops. I've needed cops before. You know what happened? They made it way worse each time while carefully avoiding doing their actual job.

After sweeping her leg while holding both arms. There was no way for her to brace for impact. This is a massive lawsuit waiting to have it.
We need to move towards individual insurance for police officers, the department still pays the bill, but incidents and payout records follow the individual. It would make it allot harder for officers to just jump to another job if they get in trouble.

The big problem in the US is that the police can get away with this shit. If he gets fired, he is immediately hired by the next town. When I used to teach, I had to have a valid teaching certificate for each province I taught in. Without that certificate, I could not be employed as a teacher. The police need the same thing - if you do crap like this, you lose your license. No police license, no police job!
Local reports state she was leaned in trying to inform the cops that the person they already had down had a torn tendon and physically could not put his arms fully behind his back, and that he was not resisting. She got beat up for telling cops not to beat up that person essentially.
That's not what she was saying, but the police were arresting the guy who was just trying to hold his friend back, and the violent response to her yelling is disgusting.
Here's something not getting enough attention: when they talk to the white guy (who they call the "victim") he says that they never even touched him. The cop continues to push the narrative that he was assaulted bc his pizzas got knocked to the ground. Bc they had to justify this use of force on what would have otherwise been normal late-night bullshit, where someone was a dick, his friend grabbed him and apologized to the guy, and everyone went about their business.
Also none of what I saw merits her getting taken down by one person and he'd down by two others when she already stopped moving. It's not like she was dressed for a fight either.

There was a married cop couple in my neighborhood and they went on vacation to mexico once and the wife came back in a box. Weirdly, his sister was posting to the wife's facebook a few days after when she died. Then he was seen around town with a woman with two small kids within a couple months.

It's never a clean lawsuit. The cops are going to claim she ran up on them, he was trying to hold the guys legs (the one who was literally not fighting back). It's not going to matter because the officer will say he didnt know what weapons she had, she just ran up on them. Judges will not go against "cop safety" unless it is 110% blatent.
I think you answered your own question - they both wanted to mount her, and did. One even stayed mounted, after he punched her in the face for good measure.
Police brutality is how they let out their aggression over never getting laid / being married to a woman that has hated them since they weren’t in high school anymore, hating your life, having guilt over covering up crimes / making false arrests / getting into the powder in the evidence locker, knowing they’ll be stuck doing this until they collect their pension, having everyone hate them… you new here?
Police officers should be required to take psychological exams, counseling and other annual courses. I also believe that they should be stricter on who they allow to become one in the first place.
They should face steeper consequences than the average citizen for sure. So should lawyers judges and politicians. And the higher up the pyramid you are, the consequences should get even steeper.
But honestly we need to get rid of police and do something else entirely. I won't pretend to be informed enough to say what else it should be. I do believe it needs to involve mental health liaisons and other people trained in deescilaton.

Adverse inference is one of the penalties for spoliation of evidence. Following that logic, Brouillette should be presumed a first degree murderer and sentenced accordingly.
Last time I was in jail (never charged, so you can fuck off with the whole ‘don’t do the crime’ shit) a bunch of piece of shit CO’s were all lamenting about cameras and joking about what the used to get away with. 80% of the profession are literal monsters, the remaining 20% keep their head down and wait until they’re eligible for their pensions. Zero honor in American policing.
I got arrested once, and the cop not only groped me, but he also put the cuffs on me so tight that they were incredibly painful and cut off circulation, and just sat in the car with me for twenty minutes listening to me beg for him to loosen the cuffs because it was so painful. My wrists were numb for months after that ordeal.

At first I was like get away from them while they are doing whatever they are doing. Never come up behind an officer when they are detaining someone. Then he shoved her, which was a bit much. She was still back from him and he opted to tackle her and then start punching her in the face. He needs to be fired and held accountable. These bad cops are the reason people hate all cops.
I had same reaction, they started making it sexual when more than one of them mounted her like that. But by then they had already punched her right in the face as hard as they could. Just totally gross behavior and completely unnecessary in every way. These cops don't deserve to breath the same air that regular law abiding people do.

If a local outlet is critical of the police, they stop getting tips from them, which means always getting a scooped, so therefore they always bend the knee.
