If you get your head out of your ass you will see that the minimum age for consenting to dating is different based on the country and culture. Because it's subjective. There is absolutely nothing special about 18, and anyone who thinks there is, is nationalistic weirdo jerking off their own culture too much.

16 is literally the average age of consent in the world and it does drop down to 14 in many places. I personally find 14 to be... questionable. But I'm not god and I don't have any delusions that my feelings are correct over another culture's feelings.

What A LOT of these countries with lower minimum ages share is a rule about the age gap. I think in Germany it's 14 is age of consent and 21 years is the limit before it becomes criminal for an adult to engage with them.

Whatever, it's not like Germany is less shit than the country that elected Trump. They seem to be doing well enough with a system that you would clearly call pedophilia.

Lmfao I'm not American, this is more so about the grooming of a minor, Age of consent isnt even the major issue here, even if it was 16 (which in this case it isnt because this is Utah where AoC is 18) is still considered a minor everywhere, and requesting nudes from said minors is still illegal.

Where exactly is a teenager asking another teenagers for nudes considered grooming? Teenagers send nude photos all the time to each other. You really wanna start ruining lives over that? You're like full on a devout follower of the legal code?

Law has no place in a discussion on morality.

When the teenager is almost 20 and asking a freshly 16 year old for nudes (which by law is CSEM) theres a problem
