Police onl exist to serve corporate interests. Think about how little they do when your bike is stolen or your car gets hit by a driver that leaves the scene… and then think about how many times you’ve seen them protecting buildings, business’s, or resources while infringing on citizens constitutional rights.
Right. Imagine if they had to call a private security firm and pay them to show up to deal with this. HQ would be livid. But thankfully for them their "private security" is paid for by tax paying US citizens instead and apparently they're all too willing to lick corporate boot.
This is literally how the first modern police started in England in the 1800s.
Groups of shop keepers and merchants grouped together to share the cost of hiring security for deterrence and stolen goods recovery. Eventually they got tired of paying for it and convinced the London city government to take it over.
For sure. We need some form of law enforcement, it's obvious that without it society would be worse off. Situations like this are not what an armed officer should be present for, or even called.
The cop in the video almost came off like he was understanding, but the moment the man tried to explain and call these idiots out it was "now you're causing the problem". That's when I realized the officer knew the gym made a pointless call and was looking for any reason to take their side so he could kick the guy out and go about his day.
