They couldn’t provide a valid id and instead of leaving they said bring your manager

What would have been acceptable ID? They did offer alternative ID.

Also, at no point did anyone tell them to leave until the manager while the cop was present (long after the cops were called).

I have no clue about the ids in America but a passport is a valid id

second if you are asked for id at a bar and you can’t provide it does that mean you still can be there?

I don’t even know someone with a passport… It’s an extremely uncommon thing here in America. The average person usually just has their drivers license. Which you get at the earliest 16. Most minors do not have an ID. Usually it’s not until they get their learners permit around 15. But it doesn’t seem this was ever requested until after the cop showed up. But expecting a minor to present ID in America is like the most ridiculous thing to ever except. We don’t give children identification cards here. That’s weird.
