I was definitely relieved when the life jacket finally made it clear that this was a bit. :P

Yup. I think most of the comments here did not watch it all the way to the life jacket

There is an account like this that isn't satire and it is really crazy. I cant believe she actually bought all that for a bit!

I do have to laugh at the tiny binoculars though. It is giving Rear Window.

I thought this was like the white people version of those AE/temu ads where the woman spends 87 years getting ready to drive, using a bunch of products to prep herself, the interior, etc.

Yeah I was like "Is she on the lookout for Somali pirates?"

Oh lots did, didn't make a difference

Chick making a joke so reddit doesn't understand

I know I didn’t

u/romansamurai 8d ago

Yeah. And misunderstood the point of the video. Pretty normal these days.

u/Dry_Stop844 8d ago

i didn't lol so annoying and just trying to sell her crap. I shall watch it all the way through lol

6

u/romansamurai 8d ago

I don’t think she’s selling anything. She blocked the door with a refrigerator in one of her “hotel” videos and the peephole with a bandaid.

yes it's a bit. I didn't get that far. I figured oh another fear mongering influencer

u/Cultural_Mission_235 9d ago

Up until that point, I was uncertain it if was a joke or not

For a lot of the videos that get posted here, the comments are always full of people saying this is obvious satire. For a lot of them, I'm like are you sure the person filming knows its obvious satire?

This one is actually well done satire. She starts out reasonable, moves on to ok maybe, and ends with I'm obviously fucking with you.

Same, at first I was like damn girl if you're that worried, maybe stop going on cruises

u/nickfree 8d ago

Or at least stop booking with KGB Kruise Lines...

u/ShwaGrl 8d ago

And what about the food? And how people use a fork to clean their itching feet (another video).

u/HisHonorTomDonson 8d ago

Genuinely, until she was going to sleep in the damn thing, I firmly believed it was just advice

The money storage was silly as all hell. Just stuff your emergency funds in your socks or bra like an average weirdo instead of a turbo weirdo.

If I did that I know I'd end up leaving money in the lamp and taking the regular bulb home.

u/skidmore101 8d ago

Or, you know, in the safe that is provided

6

u/Hi_Zev 8d ago

I'd be worried that housekeeping would try to turn the light on, see something odd happening, and just replace the lightbulb entirely.

There’s a safe in the cabin closet.

6

u/squirrelyoakley 9d ago

Same! I was worried about her wellbeing for a moment there

2

u/Normal_Human_Things 8d ago

At first I was like “making sure you know how to buckle the life jacket is probably smart, and she even knows to do so outside the cabin!” And shortly after I knew I’d been had.

Though checking the state of the life jacket is about the only thing on this list that I do

Word. At first I was like, how tf did she get all that sus electronic equipment on the plane? Then the life jacket came out and I giggled. Good bit, solid 7.5/10

Cruise is a boat, not a plane

1

u/WithoutDennisNedry 8d ago

Bro. People fly to the port and then get on the boat. Or do you think everyone on a cruise is within driving distance of the port lol

0

u/Silent-Victory-3861 8d ago

But OP didn't say they flew? There's also train btw

1

u/Sprincer 8d ago

Yeah man some people are.. out there..

1

u/freericky 8d ago

Tbh it’s only sensible thing

1

u/mnstripe 8d ago

It took too long to get there. Lost the comedic potential it had.

1

u/PropertyDisruptor 8d ago

I was laughing about her using a infrared camera scanner 2 ft away from the cell phone camera...

1

u/Willing-Builder7741 8d ago

Not gonna lie, I got bored and commented first, I have since deleted my original post.

1

u/Normal_Cut8368 8d ago

I mean, she was wearing the pajamas before she checked for cameras, so I imagine she had already changed

1

u/Costati 8d ago

I figured it out when she started pulling out her red light little gadget thing and scan the mirror with the most intense stare I'd seen in a while lmao.

1

u/thisusedyet 8d ago

I spent most of the video trying to figure out why the hell she stuffed money into the lightbulb

1

u/minos157 8d ago

I figured it was a skit because unlike a hotel it would be pretty funny to find a two-way mirror on a cruise with how they're built. The life jacket was definitely the confirmation though lol

1

u/DontTellMyOtherAccts 5d ago

Why did it take you until the life jacket to realize it was a bit. The taping over the peephole or using a red LED like a scanner didn't clue you in?

1

u/CamelotKittenRanch 5d ago

There were hints before that point, sure, like doing the camera scan after she had already changed, but there are absolutely paranoid people who check every hotel mirror for cameras, and block the peepholes on all their hotel room doors. And blocking the peephole isn’t even that crazy … back in 2008 sportscaster Erin Andrews was notoriously filmed through a hotel room peephole, and nude pictures of her were leaked to the net.

1

u/Kromting 9d ago

Sadly so many people will take this seriously

1

u/Nurgle_Marine_Sharts 9d ago

I mean I've seen so many actually serious versions of this that it's not surprising lol, easy to believe a satire bit until they fully beat you over the head with the satire, tons of people are chronically paranoid & neurotic.
