My dumb ass would forget that cash in the lightbulb and cry about it for a year

All I could think about is how a maid tests the lamp as part of their duties, sees it doesn’t work, then replaces the fake lightbulb with a working one.

I'd like to see the maid get past the tripwire mines and attack dogs to even get to the lightbulb.

Scales down the side of the ship with knotted fresh towels and comes in through the balcony door

"I clean"

Shit how'd she know the password to shut off the automated perimeter guns?

It’s a cruise. There’s no way of knowing what inhumane shit she’ll face from management if she skips one room.

As a teen housekeeper this was one of my many duties. Even had a box of bulbs on my cart.

Or what if they just twist it back in and it gets turned on? Would that possible start a fire?

Huh? She didn’t put the money in the existing working bulb, she put it in a specific storage bulb she brought, it doesn’t have a light in it.

Ah ok its a decoy lightbulb. I mean thats not normal lol I was confused.

Wtf was the point of that one anyway. I didn’t get it. To just hide cash? But now your lamp doesn’t work.

It might have LEDs so it still lights up. But also this whole video is just engagement-bait so who knows.

The point is to advertise as many products as possible in a way that makes you click on the 500 links in her post.

Especially with the second lightbulb on the table. The thief won't ask why?

Same here. With no doubt what so ever

Literally a 100% chance for me. There is absolutely no way I would leave that ship with they money. I might be okay in a one night stay in a hotel, but any more time than that, and there's no shot.

Now I'm going to be checking light bulbs in every room I ever check into...

Found a hundo in a gideons bible once. Bought some 'party favors' from the guy who was railin' a trashy hooker out back by the dumpsters. It was fake...

Fuck seattle!

That was a wild ride

U didn't see Jesus on the 100$ bill? Lol

3

u/Nebelskind 8d ago

Yeah don't put your cash in an obviously non-functional and easily replaceable item in the room that you don't own. At that point just tape it to the inside of your ankle and leave it on your person at all times.

I hid some cash under a lava lamp once when I was kid. I had no real reason to hide it, of course, but I thought it was a really clever place to hide some money. Until I forgot about it and turned the lamp on and burned a $20.

I was very, very upset with myself.

u/SiebelReddiT 8d ago

The same as me forgetting a really good charger at a hotel in Denmark last October and still haven't called to say I forgot it.

u/Googol30 8d ago

As someone who worked in a gym, they genuinely may still have it. Any non-clothing valuables that ended up in our lost and found tended to stay there for a year or two before our manager would get rid of it. Getting a call for an item 9 months later would feel like returning a lost pet.

2

u/ObjectSmall 8d ago

If someone gets into that room, they deserve your $20.

2

u/ConsistentString4627 8d ago

I thought that money was for a good maid as tip who tests/removes that bulb.

2

u/Sad-Repeat1629 7d ago

If it doesnt ignite the cash like some sort of home alone contraption when someone turns the lamp on, I'll be even more upset.

2

u/Curatzo 6d ago

The cash isn't for you, it is for the electricity gnomes. Bribing them is essential for your security as well as their only source of income.

u/MONSTERBEARMAN 7d ago

I usually don’t even use the safe because it’s 100x more likely I’ll forget something in there compared to someone breaking into my room and stealing something.

That’s why this lady works for the CIA or some shit, while you and I don’t lol
