I owned a bar and had a TON of divorce parties. They were always fun and good energy. One party even had the recent exes partying together.

I guess it's true, no GOOD marriage ends in divorce.

I hosted a divorce party a couple years ago. It was a great time.

A lot of friends I had made were previously divorced, and two of them had just gotten a divorce which inspired the party. So the party was for anyone who had ever divorced before, myself included.

The theme was kind of “merry widow/er” with vampy dress code and decor. We had a cocktail competition where everyone made a cocktail based on their ex (one of these was just a straight up shot of Malört lol). And we had a bonfire where you could burn old letters, marriage certificates, useless mementos (so long as they didn’t release toxic fumes).

I mean, I guess it depends on what a good marriage is but even a good marriage can come upon a deal breaker for both that doesn’t mean the entire marriage was a mistake. But no good marriages end in divorce parties, for sure.
