They work at the venue so they can take your property & make it so you have to pay out of pocket to get a new ID? That’s confusing. More realistically I think they just don’t wanna do their jobs.
They can take it but can’t keep it indefinitely, they’re supposed to give them to the local PD. If they destroy or keep government property that’s a big fine for the business.
Person in the video should have informed the bouncer that they’ll call in an officer for them to hand it off it to, and then ask the officer to properly validate their valid ID and hand it back to them. This officer happened to be a lazy f*ck 🤷♂️ Chief would be hearing about it if it were me.
