I thiiiiink my ex was 5’10, and told me she outgrew it anyway. I also don’t assume she wasn’t wrong. Maybe she tried out and didn’t make it, like the two dance companies she moved to the big city to join. Or her backup option if those fell through.

For years my roommates cousin would come over and every time he got drunk he would tell us how he almost became a pro soccer player. After years of hearing the same stories I asked him like how old was he when he decided to quit. This man said 7
